The guy who posted it is very active with the #firebenning hashtag. - manvanfan
I dump on JB because he's a boob. But I think he has an eye for young, top end talent. Hughes will be fine but I'm not expecting him to be the next D version of petey.
God, this team needs so much more. |

I am one of those 'bad' others, but what you described above would be best case scenario IMO. I would be thrilled if that happened while keeping the current group of young players on the roster now.
I still think they need another high skilled player or two; centre and dman. Don't see that in the current group of prospects nor do I see it in the potential draft positions. Maybe free agency or trade but I doubt it. - bloatedmosquito
From our current prospects we are pretty sure Hughes will play in the NHL that is 1
Sautner looks like he could play bottom pair which is 2
Briesbois still young may have a few years to go but I think eventually Briesbois and Juolevi could be NHL players.
I think a guy like MacEwen should be stripped down and retaught how to play like Matt Martin instead of his current style of Darren Archibald.
Canucks do have guys like Woo and Madden with potential. We are not as bad as media makes out .
I also want to see guys like Gaudette in two years and Boeser in two years. I think Boeser finally played his bet game of the year last night.

If someone wants to help but I can't post the actual picture.
I think Gaudette will improve on his .38 pgg.
Hughes isn't on there which probably according to his NHLe or XPs project to fill that 1st line scoring role.
It's only a scoring chart. Which isn't entirely how a hockey team is run, it's just an idea what the team could still use. |

Benning is a boob but I do believe him when he says this year we will add another piece to the puzzle. I honestly expect two pieces to the puzzle to be added and two pieces that don't fit to be thrown in the garbage |

For me it's Hughes and Gaudette filling roster spots. After that, you got a lot of scrap even if they make the roster.
You would hope that Juolevi starts to earn that top draft pick. Next year? Year after that? When?
Really looking forward to this draft. It would be amazing if they could find a player who could fill a roster spot in a year or two (instead of 3 or 4 years). |

I am on of the loudest voices against drafting Juolevi but I still think he will be a NHLer |

This is the topic I think will drive conversation on here for next season. When, if ever, will this guy be ready. |

I don’t think it’s too long before he’s ready, but it might not be as the impact player you’d hope for at his draft position.
I’m not going to tear Benning apart for whiffing on a draft pick, or two, especially when he’s stuck the landing on a few as well, but his work as a whole isn’t super encouraging.
His best work has been in the last couple of seasons, so we will see how he performs over the summer. |

Thanks Carol. I agree with the feelings on Pouliot. I'd like to see them play anyone in the system and send him walking. |

No, but I can tell you the mood around the press box at this point is basically at the 'gallows humour' stage.
The venerable Tony Gallagher paid us a visit last night and was insisting that the Canucks should update their logo—to the walking boot. - Carol Schram

At this point, I'd say he's tracking to become more of a #4/#5 PP specialist type of dman. Would love to be proven wrong, but everything I've read/seen about his skating, defense and physicality in the AHL this season was not promising. The injuries don't help either.
He looks really good on the PP as a puck mover though and he's really solid at moving the puck up the ice.
I'm more down on Lind/Gadjovich than OJ since I can see a role for OJ in the NHL, even with his weaknesses.
Don 't really care about Sautner/Brisebois, I think they'll top out as dime a dozen depth dmen. It's nicer to have your own developed though since they'll be cost controlled, plus it's better for the locker room to have guys develop together if we have any hope of a "pack mentality" developing at some point in the future.
I like Gaudette's progress this year, he does a lot of little things well and we've seen flashes of offensive ability from him, hopefully more to come as he gains confidence. |

We were going to get our look at him in the NHL. They had every intention of bringing him up. It wasnt just a claim after his injury. They had said it a number of times from the moment he was sent down. He is getting his look. They havent been shy of doing this with many other players last couple of seasons.
Now they say they have every intention of penciling him in for the start of 2019 season. Injured in camp no doubt. |

I think he's done here too, I have a feeling that this season was he and Gud's nail in the coffin after Benning publicly stated that he wanted to see them as a pairing and they proceeded to suck donkey balls.
We'll see though. |

I like Pearson. Given a chance to develop chemistry he could return to a 40 point middle 6 winger for Van. |

So I was thinking....if EG looks way better in Pit after playing like trash here.
How great would Edler, Tanev, Hutton, Stecher look on good teams? Do they all get the same level up boost? |

I like that he isn't soft, ditto with Leivo.
I think Goldobin has done enough to earn a spot next year. I womder if that means the team trade Baertschi.

I’d say goodbye to Granlund and spooner easy.
I’m keeping the other 4, because injuries |
