Looked like they were starting to turn a corner against the Habs and the jackets then they took a little step back yesterday imo and definitely tonight but pulled it out thankfully. Really would like to get Boychuck and Cizikas back in the line up and get Ladd and Hickey back out I think that’ll help.

It wasn’t that’s why I said “little step back”. It certainly was not nearly as bad as tonight. They took quite a few shifts off in their own zone yesterday and stoppped skating at times and there was pretty much no physical play. This team is successful when they can get a decent forecheck going and play the body. That wasn’t happening yesterday for stretches.

Yea I was watching on phone in a crowded room so I was a bit distracted. Tonight they were just lazy and off and Boston is up next and they generally dont match up well against them

Mathew Barzal couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat right now as far as scoring goals, but he's still 0-6-6 in the last six games and the main driver of just about everything the #Isles are doing on offense. I'll have a little more on him tomorrow @TheAthleticNYC.

Don't get me wrong, I openly acknowledge that Barzal is driving the offence right now. Yet without a finisher on his wing, those sweet feeds would be all for naught.

Both Barzal and Lee deserve props for their play of late.

I’m a little nervous that team might start gelling at some point but like others have pointed out already, Bobrovsky’s playoff resume is weak.

Truth be told, I don’t care who we play. Actually, the pens look ripe for a first-round loss.
