Somethings wrong with Matthews imo. His skating looks alot slower since he signed his big deal. Its like he took eating like kings a little to far. Ive also seen him controller disconnected way to often lately. Dont get me wrong, I love Matthews but he has looked alot like Kessel lately. Sorry but i gotta be honest.

Would Edmonton swap AM for CM if CM demands out? I don’t think so unless we add Nylander on top?
AM got paid, and you bet your farm if he just chips in occasional goals next 4 years without playing full 60 mins every night, he will still hit another pay dirt as long as he shows up in his 5th year...
That’s the problem with paying guys for promise of future performance. AM and Nylander are good players, but no way they are playing like $12M and $7M players at the moment. |
