John LeClair
Tim Kerr too.
Both had multiple 50 goal seasons. - jaws1955
I considered them.
They definitely scored a ton of goals.
I couldn't recall whether either was considered a sniper.
I think Kerr got a lot of garbage goals ... |

Corban Knight should never play for the Flyers again. Wouldn’t mind Varone scratched too. |

Kerr had a hell of a wrist shot, played on the line with Propp and Poulin.
LeClair had that monster slapper like Leach. But that was the 80s and 90s. Not much since then though. |

In favour of whom? They are the best we got. Knight is fine for a 13th fwd. With Voracek back you can bounce one but not the other. NAK would would be a candidate but I think he is still hurt. |

Yeah, they have a lot of guys dinged on the Phantoms. NAK and Rubstov out long term. They have fed guys up to the Flyers. Pipe line is still loaded but the next wave is in college or Jr's.
Both clubs could benefit from the infusion next year. We iced a fourth line of career AHL players tonight.
I like the Raffl, Laughton, Hartman line. THEY would be a very good fourth line next year. |

Again, how many fights has Simmonds had in the past 3 years? How many were him "standing up" for someone? - hereticpride
The answer isn’t zero and the last time he did was February 17th 2019. |

This is true, he had several 40 goal seasons. Not sure how I missed him. One of my all time favs. Must have been the Leach comment. Took me back too far. |

Laughton is looking at a 15 goal 30 point season. I think he's too good to play on the 4th line.

Just listening to that dumbass talking about JVR and settling on his game day routine that got him going. How about getting hurt in his fourth period of play and missing 6 weeks. Missed the games and then had to get up to speed. |

Not really. He really didn't do all that much till Forsberg showed up and Knuble was put on the other wing |

knight and varone are not any kind of answer. they gave them shot, now mve on.
hart was deemed healthy. no issue at all playing him as he is your best goalie. |

I hope he is too good and still has to play there. Looking for a monster good team.
Since he started scoring, he has been hot. |

Bullpoop. Gagne was a very good young scorer prior to Forsberg getting here. |

I’m not blaming the game on them, but they just provide little to nothing. I know Misha has struggled when up with us but maybe try him on the wing a game or two. But even with Jake back, 1 or both of Knight and Varone are still playing. I rather have Bailey over Knight and prob Varone too. |

I think laughton is an ideal 4th line center on a top tier team. Turned himself into a solid player like a Matt Cullen. |

not bull poop -- he was a borderline 20 goal scorer before forsberg. He scored 33 in 01/02 then 9 in 46 games in 02/03. He lit the lamp 24 times in 03/04. After the lockout he plays with a healthy Peter Forsberg. Guess what happens..... |

He was a 20 plus goal scorer 4 out of 5 years before playing with Forsberg. He had one off year and somehow he was borderline.
20, 27, 33, 9, 24 is somehow a borderline 20 goal scorer. Sounds like a young developing player to me.
Gagne’s second best overall season was 34 goals and 74 points in 2008-09, two seasons after Forsberg was gone. |

How am I digging a hole? Because I’ve disagreed with you?
Did Simmonds stand up for Giroux just less than a month ago? - SuperSchennBros
Sure did, but in the next game though. Not when the first game was in the balance. Not sure he would have done much today when down by two, except say something to Wilson like the other poster said.

I am talking about glomg forward as in next year . They had a shot and they are not everyday nhl players. Since you brought up Bailey much rather see him the rest of the way than either of those 2 |

Vechs wouldn't be bad... reward him for upping his game in LHV and finding consistency. Might be interesting to see what he could do on the 4th line. |
