Same.
That was a head scratcher.

It was kinda funny how there were 2 injuries and 2 ejections, although Petey came back.

Not a bad idea if you head shot a guy that has to get the concussion protocol business, the offender has to sit out himself.
like a timeout.

imagine a call like that deciding a playoff game, and yeah, that's when you'll see some guys embellish to potentially get their team a 5 min PP since they know that the refs are told to severely punish head shots resulting in concussions.

I wouldn't mind seeing JV play on the edge like that

For sure, its less about the colour coding and more about the volume to me.

The trades have not worked out well for Jim.

This is his make or break summer with ownership I think?

It sounds like he is putting away the pocketbook and looking at other options

It started with the Hansen/Burrows trades.

Don't ask about this year's TDL though. JB had no one of value to trade that was expendable

Also, don't ask why he had no one of value to trade either.

Looks like injuries will be the official excuse this year.

If only the players we have, who have not been able stay healthy the past three years, had managed to stay healthy this year, we would have made the playoffs?

Or Reaves accidentally destroying Edler from behind.

Not directly related but losing a cup because the puck magically turned on end and got flipped over the glass by accident.

I don't understand why that would be the case. He's young, inexpensive, fast and a good 3rd liner. Unless you can use him in a package to get a better young player, I don't see the point.

that would suck too, but that's more luck related. A referee making a call just because the crowd gasps and a player is down injured on a play that wasn't dirty is just poor officiating.

Whew.

So much to talk about from Wednesday, I didn't even get to Guillaume Brisebois. And Tyler Motte's two goals are kind of a sidebar.

But I do have Eriksson, Roussel, Petey, Ashton Sautner, Hughes and Tanev all earning their way into the conversation in the new blog:

When i see a 5 game PO suspension like Rome got then I’ll take the DOS more seriously. It’s getting better but further to go yet.

Is it? I didnt make it just thought I would share it.

Whats wrong?

I think if you ever make a chart like this, you have to qualify it. So some kind of point system based on potential/skill/value ect. As it stands, I don't really see how orange is a category that makes sense. Which is why most of the guys in orange don't make sense. Also, however you score it should apply to both sides of the chart ie/We gave up 10 green and 5 years later only have 3 or something like that. All of the scoring would be based on multiple sources, and the categories would be much more simple numeric format with some actual meaning ie/ 1-3 red, 4-6 orange 7+ green. That's my 2 cents as I look at that and think this is why people hate analytics/research based evaluation.

Who would you pick at 3?
