I'm actually finishing up journalism school in Toronto right now, originally from Ottawa. So as result, the majority of my writing covered the Leafs for the past few years. As I've started writing more, I try to say I'm not a fan of any specific team- just a hockey fan in general. In the last couple months it's been a matter of watching whatever I think is going to be the best game on any given night (or whatever game I have the most fantasy players in). |

Well, you pulled pretty much most of the old guard out of hiding. At least for a little while anyway.

Again welcome, I have a question I think all Islander Fans on here would be interested in asking you, what do you think of the treatment John Tavares received on his first trip back to Long Island wearing a Leafs Jersey? |

Definitely a big topic in Toronto a couple weeks ago. No problem with the booing/chants, if anything I think it builds a rivalry and makes for more fun hockey. Was a fun game to watch and even some friends of mine that are more casual hockey fans wanted to watch the game just to see what the reaction would be.
The thing I'd say crossed a line was throwing stuff (jerseys, snakes) on the ice/at Tavares. Hate a guy all you want from behind the glass, but that was too much. |

Yep. A jersey and two rubber snakes hardly constitutes a terrible display of fandom.😂 |

2 or 20,000, doesn’t mean throwing stuff at a player or on the ice is right. It isn’t. |
