All alone, in front of the net with the puck on his forehand. “Let me just spin around right here...”

I heard Kane drank his Long Island
- washedup20

What do you think of Casey "spineless" Nelson?

How many long island ice teas would he need to fight?

65% Housley for his crappy coaching and his assistants suck and he picked them. 35% Botts for not adding secondary scoring after moving out two top 6 fwd’s. Murray franked us though and the Pegula’s are approaching worst owners in professional sports territory. In saying that I think I’m due for a username change.

I think it was Boss that i saw call u “Tankaville” earlier
That was fairly funny

While Phil’s Lineup decisions have been very questionable at times...
our biggest problem this year is secondary scoring

Is it Phil’s fault that Mitts isn’t a stud right away?
Is it Phil’s fault that Tage can’t hit the net?
Is it Phil’s fault that Berglund wasn’t capable of being 2C like Botts thought?
Is it Phil’s fault that Sheary & Pommer can’t do much except when they play with Jack?
Is it Phil’s fault that Sobatka has no offensive game whatsoever?

I’m not saying he’s a good coach
But let’s look at the WHOLE SITUATION here too
Phil isn’t TOTALLY to blame

This is a YOUNG and FLAWED roster,
that still needs some work

- jdfitz77

Maybe phil's system is part of the failure here?
When pretty much most of the team didnt hit expectations?
Is it those 8 or 10 guys or the coach?

He had to think he was playing defense. Clumsy effin goon. Dude needs to play with a shorter stick. Only time he gets pucks on net is when he shoots from a change of release point too close to his body. He sucks. Loser. Get him out of here along with the putz that brought him here.

I think Coaching can be a bit like goaltending

Yeah, there’s a handful of great ones who can take average talent & make them better

But with most- including Phil-
If u give them talent like Nashville,
they look good
If they have LACK of talent like us,
they look bad

That’s Phil in a nutshell imo

Yea it was. I’ll laugh when Flacco leads us to 9+ wins this year too by just being a completely average QB

Alright I’m excepting new username ideas. I’m going to retire this account after this season. I have one in mind but interested to hear what you guys have in mind.

You can definitely remind me.

All in good fun, you know I'm kidding

I'm sure you will be trying to convince all the bronco fans to tank for a qb in no time.

My guess is week 4 or 5

Different for different players

I don’t think anything Phil did has held back Mitts, i just think he’s not there yet

Botts even said he got Berglund to play 2C to take pressure off Mitts, but StL had moved him from 3C to the wing
Phil should get credit in my book for recognizing that early on and moving Berglund to a more fitting role
*like he did with Larsson & Girgs btw

We heard from Pens fans how Sheary couldn’t score when he wasn’t playing with Crosby, so if there’s any fault there on Phil- it’s that he took him off Jack’s line
But with how good Skinner & Jack were together, tough to blame him

Sbroads points out all the time how it’s Sobatka’s fault that Tage isn’t doing better,
but when Tage does get chances he isn’t producing
And most of us think Tage should’ve been sent down
So is that Phil’s fault... or Botts’ for keeping him up here?

So to answer your question...
I’d say it’s BOTH Phil AND the players
AND Botts
Phil isn’t developing the young guys very well
And he’s put some guys in good spots,
and some in curious spots

But he also has a flawed roster to work with that needs help

Phil is NOT a great coach
But maybe he’s not as HORRIBLE as ppl are making it seem either

I think there’s plenty of blame to go around

What’s the rest of your schedule look like?

I can assure you this is my last year of rooting for the tank. However a few of those made me laugh.

Phil might not be the entire problem but he is a problem... this team is underachieving and that's on the coaching staff... he needs to be replaced.

Good post

Its really hard to say whether its lack of talent or lack of coaching/development

Maybe mitts needs a coach with some fire to get him going
Maybe mitts is NOT READY

Probably a bit or both.

I never liked him, soft as any sabre ever.

Team reflects it.

Wonder if Bob Bougner gets fired, if he gets another shot here?

That move was mind boggling. But I wanna see how he plays next year. It’s not like we have an abundance of options at wing, and there’s very little return we could get for him anyway.

Nice use of “putz” though by the way.
