It's not often I feel badly for an opposing goalie, but it was like a pinball game in front of him. No goalie in the world can stop those late deflections like that. Maybe once if they are lucky. But not that many.

I actually thought the Leafs showed jump very early on. The first few shifts, I thought to myself - "This is gonna be a battle." - it reminded me of the game against the Minnesota, where the Wild just smothered the Lightning players. Toronto seemed to be swarming around the puck and puck carrier early on. Then, after those first couple of shifts, the energy level seemed to change and things started going sideways for Toronto.

They put out a statement before asking Reilly and getting his word he didn’t do it and sticking up for him and supporting him, they jumped the gun, this is on Dubass. IMO.

All he did was say 'We take these statements seriously and will cooperate with the NHL investigation.' Which he probably knew would find Reilley innocent.

the morning guys (known Leaf hater Warne) condemned him right away, it was the first I had heard about it so I was pretty upset walking into work, but then listed to it many times..and couldnt hear what people said they heard.

Dubas had to get out in front, had to make a generic statement about letting the nhl investigate.
He did.
