Well there goes their contender status.

And their chances if they ever face the bluejackets.

- Santo_44

Well, I don't know about you but I sure as poop have a beer. Flying Monkeys Juicy ass IPA - would recommend

I don’t think American craft breweries have penetrated Canada yet, because most of the real craft ones don’t even bother distributing. There’s enough demand and the laws pertaining to distribution are too much to make it worth it. Anyways, I got a fridge of some awesome stuff.

If you ever are in the states let me know and I will most definitely have a place for you to go. I’ve always wanted to send you some of the aforementioned beer and I meant to, but all of my beer trading groups have said if you ship to Canada your poop is getting confiscated. The beer is too expensive and rare to risk that

should've been a PPV from BJ's locker now; I'd paid $20 for that

Really? There’s a Canadian significance to this...

It’s not that it gets confiscated, we just classify American beer as “piss” here. It falls under a different category and requires a biohazard permit.

Missing the reference if I’m being honest. I know it’s a flower. The brewery is in Boston. What’s the Canadian draw to it? Genuinely curious.

It’s the provincial flower of Ontario.

You can’t pick it here.

Don't do that poop.

A lot of American beer is piss, yes, but not the stuff I’m talking about.

Seriously though, I forget which post it is on the border (I think it’s in either Alberta or Manitoba) but they take anything with alcohol and confiscate it.

Plenty of wonderful American breweries that you haven’t heard of

Have you been to Bellwoods in Toronto? Kind of blow that out of the water if I’m being honest.

Fair enough. I'll definitely be down in the fall for a wedding. I'm gonna try and work in a trip to Boston to visit some friends in the meantime, maybe after my conference in Quebec city in June.

People are super protective of the trilliums hahaha..

When I was kid I picked a couple, just as a way to rebel against the man.. there’s like a million of them growing on our property. Purple and white ones, no clue if they’re a different species 🙂

You can bring a certain amount, but you have to bring it yourself - you can't just ship it to another person.

Lol.. I guess.. we can grow and harvest Marijuana, but pick a precious trillium and you get sent up to the Canadian lumber camps for 20 years of hard labour.
