Agreed. I have no faith in Tomlin or Colbert drafting CB's. None. I have no faith in Tomlin at pretty much anything. - madmike71
They both need to he fired. This team was one impact defensive player away from a Superbowl team and now is a complete embarrassment.
I'm fine with how Bell was handled. Should have treated Brown the same way. Put him on the practice squad and suspend him when he stops showing up.
Colbert has never had the guts to make a move that would put them over the top and his comments about Been and the kids was one of the dumbest things I've heard. |

Reports are circulating that the Steelers have interest in Josh Rosen... If that's the case, I'd suspect they have doubts with Rudolph... - hipcheck_goalie
Rosen is a complete dink but it sounds like he is expected to fetch only a 3rd round pick apparently. Rudolph might still have potential but is probably a 3 year project whereas Rosen could be much closer.
Best case scenario with Rosen is if you can make him look good for a year in a backup role, you could trade him out for a late first or early second rounder alarm Garropolo. |

Tomlin is high on Dobbs. Dobbs didn't look good in the Oakland game. One game, I know, but I don't think Tomlin is ready to give up on him as yet. |

Okay, let's change the topic and go to hockey, specifically Columbus. I didn't watch the game, I watched NHL Network. When they did show the game it was in the third and hit and miss. What I saw was a team that really didn't hustle, didn't battle and looked like they were trying to get their coach fired.
The only two players that hustled and worked hard were Werenski and McQuaid. Everyone else floated.

Which doesnt make a lick of sense given the time of year, where they are in the standings and all the big moves the team made. I had this feeling about them the second last time the Pens played them and won 3-0...they had no urgency...they were a totally different team on Saturday. Thats the team they need if they're going to make it in. Now tonight they have a B2B vs the Bruins who havent played since the Pens loss and the Habs, who are right behind them in the standings, have the Wings. |

Zero goals in their last two road games. This does not bode well for a team that has eight of their last twelve on the road.
One more thing I would like to add is that it looked like a lot of players were playing as individuals, not as a team. Completely have tuned out Torts. |

Ive always said about Torts that he's the kinda coach that can can be hired and whip a team into shape and playing good fairly quickly but after a while his a-hole ways start to get to the team and he starts getting tuned out. I kind of think the same way about Therrien.
Not ready to say the Jackets have tuned him out yet though. |

Anyone read the Bruins blog? LOL
Blogger makes it sound like the Bruins dominated and should have won, but had bad luck and Halak should have stopped all 3 goals he let in.
LOL, what game were they watching?
As much as RW can annoy, at least he is open to calling out the Pens when they don't deserve to win.
What a homer. |

Yes. They don't look cohesive at all. I've watched a few of their games recently and Panarin doesn't seem as dynamic as he usually is. I remember an earlier game against the Pens and he was incredible every shift. He had 2 assists in the Winnipeg game on March 3rd and zero points in the following 4 games. That is going cold at the wrong time.
Duchene and Dzingel have 1 assist each in their last 5. McQuaid flat out blows...I can't believe they traded for that bum. |

Half the team is UFA's and they all know the team isn't good enough to win. |

Here's the deal:
We just keep flipping back and forth in the standings until we both clinch, then winner gets the Ilses and loser gets the Caps.
Deal? |

I like how we are going young quietly up front:
Bjugstad
McCann
Rust
Guentzel
Simon
Blueger
Aston-Reese
In time we’ll probably deal Hörnqvist or Kessel or just replace Cullen’s spot with a young guy too.
On D we don’t have to worry much about. |

Dude was good early in the year too but our PK stunk and he didn't get results.
He's feeling it now, though. Looks like the guy that used to piss me off every time we played the Wings. He's weird, aggressive and FAST. |

Yeah he is at his best when he has that swagger going. Terrible DET defence ruined his confidence and he lost his mojo. Nice to see him back with it. |

Williams was saying last night that the guys love playing in front of him. Said they've got a great mix and there's no leadership hierarchy in the room. If somebody isn't going, somebody in the room gets on them no matter who they are. You can see it on the bench too. It's cool. |

jboyd, you must have missed this line:
"The puck management was poor, Jaroslav Halak let in a few goals he should have stopped, and for the first time in 19 games, the bounces didn’t go their way."
A few is 3 or more. The Pens scored 3 goals on Halak. So the blogger is insinuating that Halak should have had all of them and the Bruins would have had the shutout. The puck management wasn't poor, the Pens were just better. Bounces didn't go their way? I don't know about that...
The game was pretty even, and the Bruins lost to a more determined Pens team that worked harder. That is why they lost. Not because of bad luck and Halak sucking.

Very tough blaming the goaltender for any of those goals. Maybe he could say Halak's rebound control was bad on the Bjugstad goal as he didn't control Hornqvist's shot. But the McCann shorthanded breakaway and the Geuntzel goal he was left out to dry on each.
