You had to have actually read this article... At that time, IE before July 1 2015...the Kessel Day. He is staing that the Roster is underachieving on the largest scale! At the time, the two best players in the world...1 Championship in 10 years.

The Penguins will not trade any of their core four: Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury, Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin. That’s a reasonable stance.

He is just saying that something NEEDED to happen. Crosby, no. Letang, wont get anything useful. Fleury, #1 goalie, no. Malkin was the only thing of value we had, that would fetch serious return.

I don’t see an alternative to trading Malkin. Not if you want change.

If you wanted real change via trade this was the onyl logical way to go.
