If the stick was broken, it's not a penalty. It's pretty tough to know why the stick is on the ice in the moment like that, but it was in the (frank)ing way of a shot.

Murray has been great. My bigger concern with him is fatigue. Last year it seemed like he got worn down come playoff time.

A bit of a tough spot they are in... Every game is a must win and while Desmith has been solid, that need to ride Murray.

That was a really big win yesterday. They will figure out the PP, it's a great sign that they have been able to win without it.

Last year Murray didn't play good basically the whole season not just playoffs. His father passing and injuries were there but just a bad season last year.

I agree Murray should get a game or two off down the stretch but at the same time the guy hasnt had a grueling year for starts. He's missed a lot of time and has only played 38 games. There's 23 goalies in the league with more games played than him.

The need for rest will be more due to recency. He has already started more games in March than he did in November or December. 13 more games to be played in the next 26 days (or something like that). Just want him to stay fresh and healthy.

I'm a broke student who can't afford monthly subscriptions to sites like the athletic. But sometimes I'm glad of this, purely because I've gotten sick of the biases and knee jerk reactions many Pittsburghers, as well as the sports writers have. Although RW suffers from his own faults, but I won't complain since I can get his blog for free.

Yea I don't remember MM ever saying that he wanted Malkin traded for those 2 specifically. I remember him saying that he would rather have Kessel than Oshie, when they were both in FA. The most that MM said was, something has to happen, insinuating that no one in the org should be safe other than Crosby, during the Johnston time.
