That’s honestly it. Because they are hanging tough even strength. Boston is a really good team.

Here comes another pivotal attempt.

I'll just be happy if they don't give up a SH goal at this point.

No Malkin or kessel out there, just have Crosby and guentzel out there with two d men treating it like an even strength breakout rush

They might want to keep that and let Malkin and Kessel just play on the second unit where they can do less damage to us.

I have to believe kessel can figure it out. If it becomes a situation where kessel can’t regularly contribute on the PP he would have to go

You act like he hasn't let up numerous soft goals this season.

Don't think so. If they lose him, who is next? That guy we got for Grant?

Yeah, I'll take the softies he keeps giving up so long as he keeps putting up the numbers he has the past three months.

I'm really not interested in tearing into Murray since he's been pretty great recently, but I found this on DK's site after the Philly nightmare...

And since then, he’s ranged from mediocre to below mediocre, best evidenced by this singular stone-cold stat: His first two seasons in the NHL, including playoffs, his save percentage was .926. Since then, combining last season with this one, it’s .909.

And delving deeper into just last season vs. just the current season, his save percentage on high-danger scoring chances went from .856 last season, fourth-best in the NHL, to .788, which ranks 40th of the 46 goaltenders with a minimum 1,200 minutes played.

Murray wasn't real good last year and was a nightmare the first half of this season. But it seems like they figured some things out and he's been better for a while now.
