could be that they do not want to waste their callups allowance from here to the end of the season.
- dmnted

What would they save them for? They can’t roll them over to next year.

Missing Dermott is huge. Really like the way he tracks the puck. And no fear in getting it out of his end. Wish Holl could get about 5-6 games in order to judge him properly. One game here and there is of no value to anyone. And finally, I really hope this is the last year for Marty. What is the point in keeping him if you hope to never use him during injury. Should we not be saving that spot for someone with potential?

Marincin is younger than Holl.

Rosen is injured or he would be up already.
- Aaron_85

Yup. They already said that was the case.

Sucks he’s injured

Anyone hear how long he out for? I thought he was day to day last week, but I might be wrong.

For when they would actually need it. I think they used one on Moore.
they may now only have 3 call ups allowed.

So...when is Tavares named captain?
- AdamFrench

When Matthews get 3 assists and the Leafs get by the Bruins in 6 because of a 10 point performance by JT and a 2 shutout performance by Andersen

I'm looking forward to Tampa tomorrow!
- TrashPanda

Me too! Just wish leafs had Dermott and Gards. Seen both games in Tampa and leafs really outplayed them. Their defence was lost and Hedman, Stamkos and Kucherov served up pizzas the entire game

I doubt they’ll need one. They have 2 healthy forwards and one dman right now

If im edmonton, im offer sheet'n kap.
4.5 - 5m per x 5 years.
Kap and mcd would look good together.
Edmonton has no forward depth.

Jesus they had hall and eberle.

- Fakepartofme

Edmonton is in far worse cap shape than the Leafs are. I am shocked that crappy roster is capped-out.

You know, the combination of Rosen and Dermott when healthy might just be a winning one. Hope to see it soon.

Eberle's kinda peaked imo. He's not having a great season by the standards of the whole team. The Hall trade was a big (frank)-up but to be fair they at least got something for him. He couldn't stay healthy for Edmonton and while it would have been wise to keep him for a year and see if he could either make it work with McDavid and either keep him or increase his value at the time they needed defensive help.

The real problem they have is that Lucic contract. They'll really need to offload that deal and eat some salary if they want to steer things in the right direction.

That Reinhart trade was a disaster as well. They also keep givinng big contracts to average to mediocre talent.

Eichel phone hearing today. Hope he gets 5 games. Hit was brutal and his attitude in the interview after the game was unbelievable. Not like I hope he's ok, just, it's hockey it's a tough game, it was a hockey play.

If a prospect or picks also came with Larsson it wouldnt be so bad.

Eberle trade is what it is. Much better than Lucic and I agree. It's his deal and Russell's deal that are going to kill the team.

"It is a troubling trend that the Leafs nearly folded late in the third after blowing a two-goal lead to Vancouver on Wednesday"

Trend? Get out of here, MiB. We lost 1 game. We're 33-0-1 when leading after 2 periods ffs.

Kap has been pissing me off lately. He’s gotta start hitting the net. He has seemed to have lost a bit of his playmaking in the offensive zone too.
- bryant

True. He whistles a ton of shots up high past the goalie’s head and off the glass. Hit the damn net.
