Edmonton is in no shape to offer sheet anyone. They will have $10-$12 million to sign 8 players. They can move Lucic +++, or RNH, or Puljujarvi but they are a cap team next year without any offer sheet.

It doesn't matter the player wants to go there or not (does he want to play for that team, do they suck? Doe he want to live in that city)

The news on Gardiner wasn't good yesterday - there was talk that he might need back surgery. Dermott is probably 3 weeks away still. Not sure why Marincin is in the lineup. I can't understand why a call to the Marlies hasn't been made. Surely Rosen is better than at least 3 d-men currently on the Leafs

They have close to $3 million of burried/buyout stupid tax for next year ($2.8) - It will be interesting to see the type of deals and bloodletting that will take place. My guess is that they will go after some good but not great players with low cap hit, to at least let McDavid have some options.

Missing Dermott is huge. Really like the way he tracks the puck. And no fear in getting it out of his end. Wish Holl could get about 5-6 games in order to judge him properly. One game here and there is of no value to anyone. And finally, I really hope this is the last year for Marty. What is the point in keeping him if you hope to never use him during injury. Should we not be saving that spot for someone with potential?
