Johnsson will likely be traded this off-season to Anaheim or Carolina for a defenseman.
Moore will be able to provide the same as Johnsson.
I like Johnsson as a player, but the overvalueing of him by Leafs fans who never heard of the guy until last year this time is quite hilarious.
Another thing with Johnsson - he plays similar to Grabovski (I liked him alot btw) in that he always puts himself in vulnerable positions... he lacks awareness to avoid hits (Kessel is the King in that specialty ). Hopefully I'm wrong, but I fear for Johnsson getting a bad injury/concussion due to how he plays. - plantheparade

Mike Babcock says #Leafs think Zach Hyman will play tonight. Tyler Ennis will go if he can’t.
So Trevor Moore will be on the fourth line with Gauthier and Brown.

When the Leafs played the Flames the past week, all Flames fans were whining how biased the refs are for Toronto. Calgary was #2 for PP opportunities this season, Toronto 30th. Last 2 seasons, Calgary was 3rd and Toronto 31st. - RogerRoeper

What!
Only 2nd in those categories, we Dermott back asap.
Lol
But seriously, dubas should have picked up a depth D....marincin should not be in our leaf line up. No matter whos injured. - Fakepartofme
I’m just going to say it. Marincin has been decent and McQuaid has been poop for CBJ. If Marincin can keep playing average on the 3rd pair he’s okay there.

if you are the home team and trailing by 1 goal late.
what is the optimal time to pull the goalie?

does it matter if you're the home or away team at that point? |

if you want to make sure you lose, 5+ minutes.
the advanced stats nerds did a whole 'study' about how a coach should pull goalie 10+ minutes when down 3 goals (or something of those lines, i'll look up the link) but it's just case of where theory is only working in theory..
common sense says about 2:30mins left or less. (depending on possession / where faceoff will be taken). |

Was just checking my new years wishlist from Jan 1:
Tavares, Marner, Matthews continue to score prolifically (YEP)
Rielly remains in Norris contention (YEP)
Andersen remains in Vezina contention (YEP)
Acquire a top 4 Dman (YEP)
Zaitsev learns how to pass... well, I think his play has improved a bit?
