I watched a normal interview with him on some daytime show in the 80s where he's talking about the New York real-estate market, and his vocabulary still wasn't great but he gave straightforward thoughtful answers to the questions he was presented with. - TheMussel

There's clearly a different set of rules for the Leafs than the other 30 teams.
I love how a team that's 33-0-1 after 2 periods now can't protect leads and will lose in the 1st round as a result because they won 3-2 against Edmonton. - RogerRoeper
Correct. Wilson helped the Caps win last year so the leafs need a "heavy" player. Ignoring that the Pens won back to back without a Wilson the 2 years prior. Love the media. |

I like this argument. He's just trying to throw everyone off by being a classless, vindictive, and petulant man-child with a vocabulary found on a box of Frosted Flakes. |

Yeah, I should have known better.
In reading twitter yesterday, you'd think the Leafs lost to Edmonton and that Matthews is garbage, - PatC80
And it’s not just twitter, I read poop like that in here too.. I don’t mind the garbage hot takes on some players, that’s just bad opinions lol but to assume they have a problem closing out games is so false.. they’ve got to be top 1-2 in the league for that stat |

They would be tops with leading after 2 periods. I dont know why we dont discuss more of "how afraid teams are when the leafs have a lead". |

I love how they ignore Kuznetzov going from playoff zero to superstar and leading the playoffs in scoring. It was Tom Wilson. Heavy matters! |

Oh for sure,
The best hot take from it, was (paraphrasing of course) "Hitchcock, should have seen the tides were turning, and he should have pulled Stolarz a minute earlier" |

Or that Holtby completely turned his game around. Round 1 against Columbus, Holtby didn't play until game 3.

The definitions of "Heavy" I have found mean a lot of different things.
The definitions moves around as you try to compare "Heavy" teams or try to quantify it.
But imo, Sid does a lot of the things I would consider Heavy, like controlling the puck, strong on the boards and corners, stuff like that.
Its just strange it happens to be the best player over the last decade. |

The key to Washington winning the cup is their core players playing their best in the playoffs for the 1st time ever. 2 years ago Kuznetzov had 2 points in 9 playoff games.
Every other year they played their best in the regular season. |

What I love to do on Twitter is simply post stats when someone makes an insane argument. The IQ level is very low on there with Leaf talk. |

When the Leafs played the Flames the past week, all Flames fans were whining how biased the refs are for Toronto. Calgary was #2 for PP opportunities this season, Toronto 30th. Last 2 seasons, Calgary was 3rd and Toronto 31st. |
