So, apparently, that alone, makes it a good stat, versus +/- which is the worst stat ever.

I couldn't be bothered to point out to him that the 2 primary arguments against +/- were "sample size" (which is LOWER with is version) and the strong "team component", (which doesn't change at all with this version).

The media is idiotic. They have barely discussed the Leafs on-ice play this year. Did you know every single RFA on the Leafs is getting an offersheet and leaving?
And people think the Toronto media is biased towards the Leafs? So much non-stop negativity

What is strange is, leading up to July 1st I heard everyone and all the media say he's staying on Long Island or signing in San Jose. Once the Leafs sign him the story becomes he was always going to the Leafs to not give Dubas credit.

Truth is, Dubas had to work harder to sign JT than for any UFA signing in NHL history.

I have read this morning so many times already they are done in the first round if they can't hold a 3-0 lead. LOL. People treat the Leafs differently than any other team.

Really? I litterally did not even hear the Leafs mentioned the final week. I recall James Duthie on the radio with a host (Forget who) and the Leafs were not even mentioned in the conversation. O-Dogg did pick Toronto, but no one else I can recall.

Yeah, they are only 3rd in their division due to how many times they did not show up against really bad teams. If you look at their record vs strong teams, it's pretty darn impressive.

Remember the first 5 games of this season in October when people kept saying "Have They Beat A Playoff Team Yet"? LOL. As if that matters 5 games in. As if the same 15 other teams get in again this year.

Ron Hainsey has a shot at having the highest plus minus in Leafs history this season.
