I have to think each new loss causes Housley's chances to be fired at the end of the season to rise exponentially. With how things are going the second half of the year, I don't think Botts can give him another season.

Edit: And this is coming from someone who usually believes in staying the course.

Reading what Botts and all the players are saying, now way housley is fired before the end of next year. The mistake was hiring green GM and a green head coach. Should have hired someone with experience. They'll spin it saying we got 15 more points than last year and we have to get him more players.we still need a lot, 2 top 6 forwards, 2 top 4 dmen and sadly an#1 goalie; and that's if we resign skinner. The team has a ton of 4th line forwards, bottom 2 dmen and back up goalies. Montour, I think will be a steal

hope he's okay, but seriously why even read his stuff??? All it is, is people female doging and moaning about what he writes. he use to at least report practice notes and player movements, sometimes even something about a prospect, he hasn't done that in like a year or more.

To be honest, I don't read his stuff.

I just noticed that Garth's Corner wasn't in its usual featured spot. I did a quick check, and noticed his blogs dropped off.

And his 2nd most recent blog has the title "No dress rehearsal, this is our life."

I realize his titles are usually nonsensical, but this one just seemed...odd.

I wondered if perhaps the Tragically Hip reference meant something.

Yes, I've put far too much thought into this.

OMG the sky is not falling. They have technically one line and need some more offensive players. Draft right in next 2 years and year 3 they are a much better team

And where did we say we're willing to wait 3 years for a good team? I expect players to be added in the off-season and make the playoffs next year. Goalie is our biggest problem and UPL is 2+ years away. Hutton is about we should have expected but ullmark has been a big disappointment to me. His GAA and save% in the last 3 months isn't good. Granted, we have 3 starting d who either suck (Scandella) or have no hockey iq (risto and McCabe).

Perhaps my Chicken Little reference?

Although it doesn't indicate my true feelings but rather a shot at how some overreact to every little thing.

grease...

sometimes i'll go with the hangover omelet featuring chili with plenty of hot sauce...heat and grease...add in a bagel and cream chz to soak up some of the remaining booze plus a cup of coffee (or three) for a boost and i'm good for a little while.

It was my first job for 8 months in 1981. Despite what I know, I still eat it three or four times a year.

If you can find a popeye's instead, you're doing yourself a solid.

Really, what is the use to fire Housley now before the end of the season. We do need the extra help with players that can legitimately help. Some of our young players must make a determined effort to make themselves a better player by whatever means of extra individual practice it takes. Just my opinion.

Clearly still hammered.
Mighty Taco, WTF!

Edit: When I lived in Buffalo I craved a solid Greek breakfast at either Family Tree on Baileynear Long Meadow, or Kosta's on Hertle Ave. Start with Spanikopita, then follow up with Souvlaki Breakfast ... eggs, potatoes with Greek dressing!

Spot on.
I just read that Tage was spending considerable extra time on the soccer fie....err, ice.

Also, getting some players who are smarter, and some with a fiery disposition would help as well.

Well, I mean it would be cruel to put Tage in Goal...although maybe F's who can't seem to pick up their man should experience a stint in net...just to see what the goalies need to deal with.
