Perlini, like most young players, needs to learn to bring it every shift. Especially if he's going 5o be on the bottom lines

It's why most coaches prefer vets there. Since they may only play 10 min, they understand not taking a shift off. Whereas some young players struggle with that role/arent used to that

If you played as long as he has you should know by now that if you want more ice time, get your ass out there and earn it. Coaches will reward effort. Its exactly what JC has done with Perlini.

There was a great profile on him in The Athletic recently. He talked about having an epiphany watching a movie about a rock climber(?), realizing that while if that guy makes a mistake, he's dead, but in hockey, mistakes are not fatal. He said he's been playing looser since. Anisimov also supposedly helps him keep loose and enjoy the game, which seems to be important to his performance.

Can't blame the org for a guy not giving effort. I am not buying that. Perlini was floating all over the ice for quite some time and that is why he was sat. A lot. Maybe he has finally gotten the message cause he has been better the last 3 games.

Pretty much a one line team like Colorado. Dallas has a lot of talent on the D. Up front? Kind of meh. Plus, Benn has been pretty terrible this season.
