Matthews was silent last playoffs and there was no Tavares. Both of those concepts scare the poop out of me.

This bruins team is much better than last years though too. Honesty have had too much to drink to care to explain why, but long story short younger kids are paying lights out. And it isn’t the ones you’d expect making the differenc.

Marner has too many outs. I really don't think he can be 'shut down', he'll burn you with a tasty saucer. Now that he's shown he's not scared to shoot (far blocker) he's become a truly dynamic threat.

Yeah, I think I remember one point where I heard Babcock was specifically telling Marner he needed to shoot more, and Marner started potting a bunch of goals the next few games. I think that was a real turning point where he became even more dominant than he was when he had his 61 point rookie season (where he won the Leafs all time record for most rookie assists).

I remember that too, early in the new year pretty sure he scored three straight games.

John Tavares will be overpriced on the backside of his contract but I think it's invaluable giving Marner a linemate like Johnny T.

Yeah, those two are great together. Most talented player either of them have ever got to play with on the same line lol. JT must be loving it as much as Marner.

JT is a (frank)in' baller all on his own, but there is a reason he's on pace to have a career year.

Just so my opinion is public record, Marleau plays next season. He is never asked to waive, or made a healthy scratch. If he wants to play they find a way to make it fit.

Agreed. While I do think he's declining a bit, I also think he's on the team next season.
