Krecji takes a flop, penalty. Barkov gets boarded, play on.

Shocking that Boston scores to tie the game on the power play with a minute left in the game.

And Boston scores with seconds left in the game, in a game they had no business even being in.

If I was trying to look smart having the same Hockeybuzz account since 2007 is a dead giveaway I’m not.

It’s my opinion of this years team - hope I’m wrong; don’t think I am though.

Yeah, I didn't quote you in part, because this rant of mine is caused by a lot of recent comments from a bunch of people on here that have been going on about how the Leafs aren't good enough or are missing some component or another like they know how to properly build a successful NHL team lol.

I bet you'll be just as happy as anyone else if we go deep into the playoffs this year.

The Leafs lost to Boston in the 3rd period of game 7. Subpar goaltending, Kadri suspended, inexplicably, for 3 games, Matthews and Bill Ny playing well below their level of play, and officiating so bad that multiple fans from every other team on this site came into the Leafs thread to talk about how much of a joke it was. Do you think all of that will happen again? Oh, and the Leafs added John (frank)ing Tavares to the team.

They have a Veznia candidate goalie and the Norris favourite on the team. I think a better question would be, what don't you see in this team that makes you think that they don't have what it takes?

Am I saying they're absolutely gonna succeed? No, I'm not. But they've a great shot at "it".

That was last years team. Less skilled, other team intangibles that made them different and harder to play against. The fact they’ll have just about the same amount of points the last 2 years says something to that.

-I think the D is too weak
-They lack (any sort of) a physical presence (and I’m not asking for Orr/McLaren)
- Key guys in key roles are taking too many nights off; need all guns firing in postseason at same time. 16 times.
-PP is inconsistent at best, granted better of late
-General lack of “Darcy Tucker grimace face” character...the “if I can’t score I’m going to impact the game another way” mentality

Again - just my opinion - I think the next 2-3 years is their time with some higher end 3-5 D back-end help coming. Clear up some cap space, get rid of some redundant guys on roster who all do the same thing.

The Nintendo Ice Hockey “1 skinny guy, 2 medium, 1 fat guy” roster that would win you games.

I meant that 2007 thing to be more self deprecating than a pat on the back! LOL

Good. Let them get too full of themselves. Leafs will own them in Game 1, thus destroying their self-inflated ego. Leafs in 5. Prove me wrong.

Ryan Whitney ripped on him the other day.

Some player beat up one of his Bruins and he said that the player better enjoy flipping burgers in two years or something along those lines.

He has troubles staying professional.

Never seen more skill on a Leafs team in my 40 years - give me a Rouse/Lefebvre pairing (or a Yuskevich/Markov) and a little more size with skill up front - not face punchers - guys that can win a corner battle and muscle it to the net. Not paramount, but a C would be nice too...great to have a good leadership group, but there's only one coach, not a committe. One GM. Company's have a CEO, not 4-5 guys that lead by example. The incredible skill needs to find some intangibles.
- Deeps27

and some of the incredible skill needs to find some heart and actually play like they give a poop.

I know, right? Of any fans that shouldn't be trying to trash talk someone else, it's a freaking Sens fan...

Go check out Bob Errey on the pens propaganda cast. That is a cocked up unprofessional homer. 👍
