Number 1 issue going into next year..........

Goaltending - where can we go? Who has a top prospect to grab? Who is that hot up coming goalie to deal for, that’s a big part of the summer moves. Ullmark can be a decent backup, not a #1 though.

Thatcher Demko
Ilya Samsonov

fix the d and the goalies are fine

a case can be made, aside from dahlin

the other 5 are playing worse then last year

I don't think McCabe is worse - he's just injured too often.

I have my questions about the quality of your game this year.

After Bylsma, players said they wanted a coach that would be nicer to them; ask how they were doing and not yell at them or say mean things.

They were given their wish and DB was sent packing and the players all sounded thrilled about Phil. He wasn't gonna say critical things in the media or yell or scream. Good for them that Housley has made this season as comfortable for them as possible.

Classic overcorrection. Bylsma was like Nick Saban only in the fact that he couldn't give less of a (frank) about his players. Not the whole talent thing. There's a story about Nick Saban huffing and stepping over a Dolphins player that had the temerity to have a seizure in a doorway to get to wherever it was he was going. Didn't stop and see if the guy was ok, just stepped over him and went on his way.

There's a happy medium. You don't have to get a guy to be their best friend, but neither are they going to want to give max effort for someone who doesn't give a poop about them. That's why Nick Saban is a failure at the pro level; he can't just steamroll professional athletes like he can college kids.

It’d seem that DB was a DB. I’m left to wonder where the players are at on Phil. Is he a joke to them? Are the confused by his “system”? Are they rallying and saying, “Let’s finish strong for Coach!” ?

Scandella decided to ice the puck after our PK when he had all the time in the world to make a play.

I really prefer the next coach not have Sabres anywhere on his resume.
