What a horrible time to lose 3 regulars in the line up
- Aaron_85

I think they're resting Gardiner and Kadri at this point; Gardiner has had back problems for a while and the next step would be offseason surgery (think it's the same thing Parise has).

Can’t play his game without thinking about what the (frank) Gardiner is doing or going to do next
- ClarksonDavid

What's his excuse lately though?

Twice in one shift just throws two gernades around the net at Muzzin
- ClarksonDavid

Yep, I'll give him a pass on 1 of those, the puck was rolling a bit.

Muzzin's obviously more predictable than Gardiner is, so I think Z has been a bit better, but he still lacks execution in the breakout, which on this team, is going to consist of forwards flying the zone and you executing a stretch or flip pass out.

Z's D zone coverage is usually ok, he's decent at breaking up the cycle, plays physical enough, but the guy refuses to skate it out and just looks to feed his partner instead of flipping it out.

Gardiner's so much better at that stretch pass too; they're missing that for sure.

We were at the game

Marincin and Petan were bad

Matthews was fine

Ennis worked hard

Marner was the best player on the ice

Tavares looked like he was skating in molasses

Glad for Leivo.....(and Schenn)

Just think.... if Schenn was drafted by the current regime ( and not rushed to the big club) he and Rielly would be the top pairing we are looking for

Crowd was 70% Leafs last night. Can’t believe they choked....

If they get 3/4 points the rest of the way, thats a 123 point season pace

Pretty sure if they won every game they can only end up at 117?

So your tally should be around 110? Still a good season though

Have a hard time believing the only thing keeping Schenn back from being a top pairing guy is development.

Z just misses so many easy passes it seems....wingers wide open and it's either an icing or picked off.

What a bad line change with 30 seconds left in the 2nd...Matthews and another winger saunter to the bench while Van breaks in on a 5 on 3....deserved to get scored on there....and almost did.

No. Schenn would still not be a top line Dman. Not matter how long they they kept him in the minors.
Bringing him up a little early didnt "ruin" him jesus.

3 out of 4 points (or 3 points in 2 games) is 1.5 points a game.

82 x 1.5 = 123

So if they did that, they would play at a 123 point season pace (which is an improvement over the season pace so far)

How dare you! If he had been on the Booins, he would have been a wussy version of McQuaid.

The Leafs are gonna go on a nice run here down the stretch while Boston comes back down to earth. The Leafs will get home ice for the first round. Gardiner, Kadri and Dermott will be healthy and rested. The Leafs will beat Boston. The Leafs will win the Cup.
- Zezel

Nope nope nope.. can’t think positively that’s apparently not the way leaf fans are supposed to think

"The Toronto Maple Leafs right now have Dave Nonis' fingerprints on them...(he) deserves to be in the conversation."

Dreger on TSN 1260, stumping shamelessly (again) for his relative.

This is so (frank)ing dumb and I dont get why Dreger gets to talk Hockey on TV and Radio. He adds no value.

Nonis did far more Damage than good and its not even debatable. To attach him to this current team and anything Positive is pretty stupid.

Who is on the team that he is responsible for? Maybe Nylander...and I am still very skeptical he would have been his pick if he was the only one making the call

oh....well when you said the rest of the way I guess it threw me off.

I didn't know we were starting the season over.

right now they can only get to 117...I'm guessing the end up about 105 - 108?
