They give up 3 unanswered goals to lose....to Vancouver lol
Oh boy.

Must have been fun in here last night

I think it's the first time they've lost while leading in the 3rd all season?

exactly, its because he has to cover for Gardiner in all those situaitons
- senstroll

Can’t play his game without thinking about what the (frank) Gardiner is doing or going to do next

I have pretty much convinced myself that the Leafs are probably going to lose in the 1st round, again.... to Boston, again ..It just makes the most sense at this point for a Leaf fan like myself, there is really no other way for me to look at it. the playoff format is Dumb and the Leafs/Boston are probably affected the most by the dumbness.

that said, I am going to Lay down $200 on the Broons to win the series, because thats the amount I am confortable with. If someone said to me give me $200 and I will guarantee the Leafs beat the Bruins, I would hand them $200 now. So if the Leafs lose, well I benefit Financially, If the Leafs win...they are in the 2nd round for the first time in 15 years and IDGAF about the $200

If the Leafs don't get Kadri/Dermott/Gardiner back at 100%, I think they're in for a bad time.

What a horrible time to lose 3 regulars in the line up

It could be worse, it could be 2 weeks from now. They will all be back in time for the playoffs.

Not overall.

They have a couple of guys - Hedman, Girardi, Callahan (if he plays)- who can, but it's not a big feature of their game.

- lumlums

It's not having tough guys but more having guys that can handle themselves and don't take much poop....ie> Stamkos Kucherov ( I'm not going through their whole team...too lazy this a.m. )

I wonder if we'll see the smurf line again this year, they got killed in the fancy stats dept last night and were thrown around quite a bit.

The Leafs are gonna go on a nice run here down the stretch while Boston comes back down to earth. The Leafs will get home ice for the first round. Gardiner, Kadri and Dermott will be healthy and rested. The Leafs will beat Boston. The Leafs will win the Cup.

They are relentless on the puck and opposing players.
Come playoff time, its a big factor.

would you feel better if they lost in OT to a good team like Calgary and beat the Canucks?

If they get 3/4 points the rest of the way, thats a 123 point season pace.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

- senstroll

That's some funky math.

Rielly and Zaistev when they were together, not good. Gardiner and Zaistev when they were together, not good. Muzzin and Zaistev together, not very good.

After Z's 1st shift I would have sent him to the dressing room

5 seconds in he ices it...spends the next 1:10 trying to get out of his zone, gets the puck over the red line and dumps it off the Van D at their blueline and it starts all over again.

True.
But good teams find ways to win.
Look at it this way, they lost a 2nd and 3rd line dman and a 3rd line center.

Could be worse.
