Obviously Guentzal is comfortable playing either wing or Center. You guys are more acknowledged on hockey than I am, but the question I'm asking is, can he play RW at the same level as LW or higher? Does he look good on the right side? - nateca44

Ha didn't notice that part of his post. Yeah Guentzel is a pretty bad center. |

So you count Kucherov's supporting cast as a knock on production. What about Crosby playing with Jake? - Feds91Stammer
To be fair.... all Pens fans heard from 2008-2013 was that Crosby shouldn't win the Hart because he had a guy in Malkin, who would be a #1 center anywhere else in the league, playing with him.
Also... the year Sid had the concussion... he had like 66 points through 41 games.... a 132 point pace over 82. That year Perry won it with 98 points.... Sid should have still won it that year.
I don't agree with your statement at all.... but i also thought Crosby should have won the Hart most of those seasons. |

I'm sure he's more comfortable on his natural side, but I don't really notice any drop off when Guentzel plays the right side. I'm sure its there but for all purposes he's the same player on his off side. He's definitely not Iginla who went down a whole skill level on his offside. - Victoro311
Thanks for this. I'm saying he "can" play center.
Is he good? Idk, haven't seen much of it. Thanks for clarifying this without "wut". |

He was a center before coming to the NHL, but a lot of forwards are. They tried him at center a bit last year earlier in before getting Brassard. I wouldn’t say he was “bad” in sense that he was a liability, but he was basically invisible in that role. |

His lines got caved in. Granted I think the usual line was Sheary-Guentzel-Kessel, which has like zero defensive ability, but Guentzel couldn’t handle the defensive responsibility that comes with playing center and it showed. |

It's some what of a fluke the way he hit the boards two times though.
You also assume that a professional sports organization didnt put him through a rehab program with qualified individuals....and I'm not sure why. - MattStrat
There will always be fluke injuries that happen. Sports teams generally don't have the best rehab or strength and conditioning teams. The best in the field are always in the private industry.
In hockey more than any other sports, rehab is only geared on getting the player back in games as fast as possible. I just wish they would take a long term approach with Maata so he can get better and play at a high level longer. |

Letang responded well to practice yesterday but is now sick and out tonight. Sounds like he’s around the corner and this illness is what’s keeping him now. |

He needs to sit out the rest of the season and work on strengthening his immune system. |

I wish we had more info on Rust. |

2012-2013 is the only legit year i griped about sid not winning hart. 2014-2015 i had no problem with them giving it to carey. the rest of the years, sid just didn't play enough games which is sad since those were some of his most dominating seasons.
as for anaheim, the team is (frank)ed up front. |

he's need to man up and sue the team just like when lawrence tynes did in 2013 for the team giving him MRSA. |

Not really... I saw the stats... regular season Bob is actually better.
I'll go find them for an edit later.
Edit. My bad, GAA is Bob over Kink... SV% is the other way...
these are the games for which the Blue Jackets brought in Kinkaid. He has a 6-3-2 record with a .912 save percentage and 3.07 goals-against average against Pittsburgh. That compares to Bobrovsky’s 11-8-5 mark with a .906 save percentage and 2.93 GAA. This season, Bob is 0-2 with an .846 save percentage and 4.06 GAA. |

He managed to miss time that season too and Ovi had 32 goals. That was a tough one. |

yeah but he still finished near the top of league scoring despite playing 75% of the season. I guess Ovi got it because it was his bounce back season in the goals department and both the TBY and PIT duos finished in top 10 scoring. Still that was such a special season for him. |

Which sucks for Letang. I was really hoping he’d get a Norris nomination this season, but after missing this stretch of games, it’s pretty much guaranteed he won’t. Figured the trophies is a two man race between Reilly and Burns, but would have loved to see our boy get nominated. |
