OK, I usually tease you about your conspiracy theories but I'm curious what makes you think, or more importantly, what proof do you have, that Bettman in fact hates the Blackhawks?

I have mentioned this numerous times. I believe the league will always hold a grudge against the Chicago Blackhawks, as long as a Wirtz ownes the team, for their handling of Bobby Hull. That put the NHL vs WHL, and they did not like that at the time.

So in 1972, 47 years ago Hull defected to the WHA, Bettman was 22 and was 21 years away from being the president of the NHL. There is no proof to suggest Bettman even liked hockey in 1972. John Zeilgler when he was president was good friends of Bill Wirtz and along with Alan Eagleson were the main cogs of the NHL at the time. Are you trying to say Ziegler was fine with Wirtz, but suddenly Bettman, who had no skin in the game in 1972 suddenly took up an old grudge of Clarence Campbell, who may or may not have had a problem with Wirtz???

Maybe believing unsubstantiated conspiracy theories is easier than doing the 10 minutes of research that can prove them inaccurate??
