Soderlund as Arvidsson Lite may not come anywhere close to fruition but he is a short but stocky pest who likes to go to the dirty areas and create offense from in close. If he can grow on North American ice into a bottom 6 winger who can agitate all over the ice, generate offensive chances, and play solid defense, then he could earn a spot in a few years.

Of the current Rockford forwards, IMHO, Highmore has the best potential to be a solid contributor on the Hawks bottom 6 next season. Fast, relentless, good across all 200 feet, some offense, can play center.

That's one big thing I'm interested in, but would love to track: North American ice transition. I hope Soderlund can do that well. If he's as good of a player with the qualities that you list, I am excited if he ever puts on a hawk sweater.

He plays defense for his MS team (he is forward on his amateur team), so I fear if I show him the Hawks, he'll go, "yea, that's how to play defense." ... little bumhole was in pretty good position all night but EFFORT was lacking. I wonder if his little girl friend dumped his ass.
