I get GM's are stupid, but that seems real steep. Everyone was chirping how the Draisaitl contract was a huge overpay, and screwed up the market. Drai has more goals, like 25 more points, is a C, and is 3 years younger. I guess length of term will impact contract value too, but 9 mil over an extended length seems like a real bad idea for Skinner, IMO.

Draisaitl contract involves paying for a combination of rfa and ufa years. Skinner is strictly ufa which usually means more money. But I don't disagree with anything you said. Draisaitl is the better player playing the more important position. But yes GMs are stupid.
