I certainly hope they miss out on the playoffs this year.. Cause, well... It's funny.

Oh yes it was. He's a bonafide number 1, he was drafted in the first round, blah blah blah. It was hilarious. Same thing happened when they got Phaneuf. Guys just really believe in Leaf management, can't imagine why.

Meh.
Looking back;

Bernier was deemed the 'best backup goalie in the NHL'. We needed a goalie. It didn't work out..
When we traded for Dion, he was only 25 years old and coming off some good years in Calgary..

Sadly, none of them worked out here, but they did provide hope at the time..

In no particular order:

Jagr
Lemieux
Federov
Yzerman
Sakic
Modano
Forsberg
Lindros
Bure
Selanne

- Scabeh

Add Roenick and this would be an amazing NHL94 team.

It would be so franking awesome.. The pick they traded to Ottawa is only top 3 protected. It would be funny, if they missed and Ottawa ended up with the 4th overall pick this year.

Exactly. There were plenty of hopefuls, and the realists were shunned. And then years later here we are.

I don't think that's possible for their pick to go to 4th overall. I think they either win the lottery at 1,2 or 3 or stay put. Also could be very wrong

He’s been good, I wish he had a different line mate than Brown.

Marleau-Nylander-Kadri

I want to try that line. Just to see.

I'm not so sure you're allowed to use the phrase "realist" when you hate everyone and then when a few of the people you hated didn't work out, claim you were right all along and were just being a realist.

I’d say keep that 4th line intact

That’s a difference maker in playoffs having a threat going out on the ice.

Are u kidding me, now we’re signing guys because of money and not because they can play. Hey for $500000 g’s I’ll play. That’s cheaper than sparks. God please fire Dubas.

A realist doesn't get a Bonier over a 20 goal scorer who wasn't back checking, wouldn't go into the corners and was invisible in the playoffs. It's early, but we are seeing the reality of the matter come to fruition just like some - not all - the moves of the past that were obviously bad. If you criticize Leaf management it's a hate crime now lol.
