I thought franson was gonna improve and become an ok D man for the leafs.
Lol
Oh boy. - Fakepartofme
I thought Alzner was an upgrade over Emelin.
And to stay on the Leafs, I was very vocal about how the Leafs should have drafted Hanifin.
We all make mistakes.

The David Clarkson love in here was strong after that signing...honestly don't know who said what, nor do I care/ I just remember getting so much poop for saying that was a bad signing
I also thought Brett Connolly could be the answer to our second line winger issue a few years ago so, there's that - RickJames77
That was not me. Was not a fan of that signing.
Well mostly the contract.
I didnt mind clarkson as a player |

I do recall not being a fan of the Tim Connolly signing, so at least, I got that one right.. |

When news first broke of David Backes contract, it was reported as 2 years at 6M. I was like how in the world did Sweeney pull that off! What a magician, I love it!
Then the correct report came out that it was 6 years and that all went out the window |

You thought we won the trade because of a "throw-in"?..... And I thought I was a homer.. - PatC80
So here’s the thing:
I was franking furious when the Leafs drafted Antropov.
So I guess I got it in my head that we should have drafted Bell (who, IIRC, had played on Team Canada at WJCs that year, although I wm probably wrong). Even though Bell went before Antropov.
My hate for Antropov was so great, it warped my perspective - and perhaps time and space.
I make no apologies. |

Frank it, confession time:
In 2002, the Rangers gave Bobby Holik $9M X 5 years.
And I was franking furious that the Leafs didn’t simply offer him $10 X 5 years.
Sure, pre-salary cap era.
But still...

Penguins and Blue Jackets have a home@home series this week.
If the Blue Jackets drop both in regulation, it’s going ti get very interesting in Columbus. |

Antropov's skating style always bothered me.. I tried really hard to like him, but every time he was on the ice, he looked like a giraffe running. |

I really wanted the Leafs to give Kovalchuk a megadeal before he went to Jersey. I learned my lesson. I'll do it again.
I also thought Burke was gonna build a contender.
Tonight I've got the right call though, 5-2 Leeaafffsssss |

As long as both games end in regulation, I'm happy.
But I do favor a Columbus meltdown. |

He pretty much single-handedly revolutionized the visor game by bringing us the tinted visor though.
Yeah, on second thought, he's a stupid skating giraffe. |
