I had a conversation with him and he says his blog is meant to be funny and not serious.
- Aaron_85

A lot of it, yeah. Although sometimes it can be hard to tell when he's being funny or actually believes the crazy stuff he's saying, because a lot of the time, he is actually being serious...

Sometimes though it's pretty crazy going in his blog, laughing at the stuff he's written (clearly intended as comedy) and then seeing all the people in the comments freaking out because they either don't get the jokes or choose not to see them so they don't miss a chance to harp on him. Honestly the commenters in there are sometimes as hilarious to read as him.

He's got a special gift for riling up fan bases too ha ha! Like the blog he did a week or two ago when he suggested the Isles were the lucky recipients of extremely lucky goaltending.

I made the mistake of agreeing with him and providing some stats and just got attacked by a mob of angry Isles fans.

An idiot?! I'll have you know that he could replace 25 or more of the current GM's and instantly do a better job!

Idiot he may be, but if he replaced one of the TSN panelists or one of our usual broadcasters, he probably really would do a better job as far as most Leafs fans are concerned. At least he actually likes the Leafs.

Once in a while he can make a good point, but his attitude gets him in trouble a lot, and his genuine blind worship of statistics causes him to say some pretty absurd things on occasion. He can also write the odd amusing article. Some are pretty funny if you just go in expecting humor and not much else.

- Thecakeisalie

Actually, his non-hockey related stuff can be entertaining.

The stats thing can be out of control, to the point of being ridiculous. When he is called on it, he has no valid argument. He has the rare and unfortunate combination of arrogance and incompetence that you only find among the socially non-functional.

It is took bad that it would probably be very tough mathematically for all 3 to get in

The Habs would have to epicly collapse.

I just stayed away from his blogs since then. He is good at riling up people so I dont want to fall for it and give him the hits.

Yeah, I've seen him do that dozens of times. Or point out someone with a grammar mistake and using that as an excuse not to argue with them, or someone that insulted him, or someone that used certain slang, or started their post of by saying "sigh" or something else equally ridiculous.

Although to be fair, it's gotta be tough facing off against like a dozen different posters all mocking your work and trying to argue with you at the same time every time you write a blog. I'm a little impressed by him for simply interacting so much with everyone in spite of the opposition he generally faces.

Hey atleast he actually reads and responds to comments, wasting not just our time but his too. Some of these muppet bloggers either
(a) post a summary of the highlights
or
(b) post a five minute blog thought over a morning bowl of fruit loops, throw in a few heat maps and call it a day

Leafs will be restructuring this summer. played with the numbers on arm chair GM. played out worst case senerios should the leafs keep kadri, kappy and johnnson. Marner is a no brainer and had him at 11000000. mind you this is with the whole right side D under 1million a yr contracts with exception of zaitzev. and kappy and johnnson splitting 7 million. it wont be until after next yr that marleau s 6250000 is gone and we can start improving the right side defense. doubt kappy goes anywhere and for that matter johnnson. if dubas decides to fix the right side immediately kadri or nylander probably will be it. poor connor brown is in all likelyhood gone. the good thing is we ll have assets coming back to build the marlies as brocco and maybe a few others will make the team next year. bottom line is the cards are in dubas hands. as im sure any offer sheets will be matched and traded. hopefully to the arch rival of anybody who offer sheets on of our guys lol

Agreed. Like I said, I gotta respect him for actually interacting despite all the negativity and arguments he faces by doing so.

And some of his blogs really do crack me up when he does a humorous one.

Yeah, next year is the tough one. After that we are in great shape.
Brown is 100% gone. Leafs aren't in a situatuation where they can pay over 2 million for a bottom 6 forward. I am also not convinced there's much chance Ennis returns.
Moore and Rosen at 750K each are huge, same with potential of Liljegren and Sandin.
