They did. They also won a Cup young (where the Leafs are now but without the Art Ross / Hart winners) and they won them a little bit older (when they were finally healthy and in their prime). But either way, they were the best players in the game like McDavid and Kucherov would be considered today, whom don't play for the Leafs.
