This idea Boston is going to roll over the Leafs much easier than last year is funny. Is Freddie going to post a sub .800 save %? LOL
They won in the 3rd period of game 7. - RogerRoeper
Boston may be peaking early right now.
If they keep up this momentum going into the playoffs, and the Leafs don’t bring it up a notch down the stretch, the buds might be (frank)ed. But if Boston peters out a bit, the Leafs should be able to take the series. |

Boston played like this at exactly this point last year. One thing about the Leafs is, they are 4th overall and still haven't played their best this season. |

Deprived of watching some pretty great hockey having to grow up in Ontario and watch the Leafs play that first round or two. Meanwhile, 2 of the best teams in the league were duking it out in Alberta.
Also, you always got to watch the Habs ( in french at least ) if you weren't sick of hearing about Patrick Roy. - golfingsince
Yep I remember Habs vs. Nordiques games and a lot of bad Leaf games. |

I doubt it. I feel like there has been no realy injury update on Kadri which usually is a bad thing. |

Leafs have the third most wins and ROW in the league and they are probably not going to have home ice advantage for the first two rounds of the playoffs if they make it that far. |

There is no point of the regular season the way the NHL is setup. There is zero reward for being a good team. In fact, it would be better if the Leafs dropped down into a wild card spot as they will have a better opponent...

Leafs have a much easier schedule left than Bruins.
I think Leafs will end up 2nd in division and have home advantage. |

They were always rewarded in the past system as well...Now you just get teams that should have home ice, not having home ice. Whoever finishes 3rd in the Atlantic gets boned as they should get home ice, but dont. Then they get the pleasure of playing Tampa in the second round

Agreed. What makes it even worse, is after the 1st rd of the playoffs, they don't even re-seed teams.. It's franked. |

Possibly, but it makes little difference, no games remaining with the Bruins and and they have been raking without Pasta. Doubt the Leafs will catch them. The disaster game against the Islanders does not give me great confidence.

Ya this current playoff format is dumb.
No arguing it.
Over 60% of the players hate it, most of the fans hate it.
Go back to 1 v 8, 2 v 7 etc. |

Agree - especially if Babs tries to show us how smart he is by starting Garret Sharts.
