Holy (frank), did anyone see that WWE move the Calgary player pulled on the Wild player last night? Fricken crazy. Wasn't expecting to wake up to that. - Victoro311

AZ got fleeced. They clearly undervalued Strome and didn't realize what they had in him. You can argue CHI made a nothing trade and it paid off, but yes, I agree. I think the Pens had they still had Sheary could have moved him, possibly even Simon + a high pick or at the most, Rust.
Hindsight is 20/20 so it's easy for me to pick this apart, but AZ did such a good job of driving his value down that he probably wasn't even on many GMs radar. - Rinosaur
Eh. Schmaltz is pretty good. Its not like AZ got absolutely nothing back for Strome. They traded a high upside prospect they had no interest in developing for a solid, middle six known commodity. Bad trade for sure, but fleecing is reserved for poop like the Forsberg-Erat trade. |

I don't think fleeced is fair. Schmaltz had 14 in 17 in AZ before getting hurt.
Strome is also riding an ice sh% of 14.4 That is not sustainable - Feds91Stammer
There's a lot not to like about Schmaltz' game though. Strome, from watching him a bit now, is far more well-rounded. Clearly aspects of his game still need improving, but you see that it's all there and coming together. |

Don't think that is fair either.
When both players are 50 point guys next season nobody will think much of the trade. |

Excuse me. Twitter. And I spent all of Saturday hungover and yesterday doing church stuff so the weekend blended together. |

He probably is. His injury is a shoulder issue. I'm sure at this point it's just working out to keep his stamina going and get his legs back. - Rinosaur
Still good news. I was thinking he'd still be in a sling right now. Does you know if it was his repaired shoulder? |

Tanner is generally pretty good in his analysis of players. It is his politics and the forcing of using one metric that can make him annoying. - Feds91Stammer
And his weekly "best song ever".
And his writing.
And his racism.
His personality also sucks.
Most of his opinions are trash as well.
His lifestyle choices also likely suck.
I bet his dog also sucks.

Same reason Crosby can't be Fedorov. Some players are just better. - Feds91Stammer
How this flew under the radar on this blog is beyond me.
I've always said that Sergei Fedorov is one of the most underrated players of all time. The guy could have racked up numerous Art Ross Trophies if he didn't want to be a great 2-way forward or a top-line defenseman on a Stanley Cup-winning team. I'd still put Crosby ahead of him at #6 on my list, but Fedorov cracks my top-10. Criminally underrated. |

How is he racist? He's an obnoxious, in your face lefty who's world views don't match up well with reality, but I've never gotten Kanye-like counter racism vibe from him. He might be a self deprecating straight white male, but self loathing like that isn't racist. Its just holier than thou. |

Kinda cool.
Crosby’s points last night ensured he will end the season with more points than games played, his 14th consecutive season where he’ll score more than a point-per-game. The only players in NHL history to have more PPG+ seasons to start a career are Mario Lemieux (15) and Wayne Gretzky (also 15).

You will have to go back over 3 years, to Trump in the primary's time... he had a bunch of comments of hate speech towards all whites and any person who would support Trump. I called him on that a ton until it got me short bans after he whined to EK. So I can't post on his crap anymore. |

You know what? Although I don't agree with 98% of Tanner's opinions, at least he interacts with his readers as opposed to some other hot-take blogger on this site. |

If he stayed in DET he likely would be higher on everyone's lists.
The ridiculous fact is that DET still hasn't retired 91. |

Again, Tanner's white. By the dictionary definition of racism he can't be racist. He can be self loathing, and he can be classist, which is probably where you're getting the idea that he's being racist towards uneducated Trump supporters, but by virtue of being white he cannot be racist against white people. |

I agree. I wish Wilson still jumped in here and interacted. His blogs were way better when he still actively participated in the conversation, even if the majority of his participation turned into him arguing with OP and Sammy about trading Malkin by the end of it. |

Yes, but Crosby doesn't have a 7-letter last name. |
