I'm actually more worried about our 2nd and 3rd lines than our defense right now. Not sure how we'd fare in a series with a great offensive team though. Pens top line and pairing is dragging this team to playoff contention.

Yeah. It is nice to see Geno back but Phil looks like he’s exhausted. He’s got one play in him per shift and then, head down ass dragging.

By the way, I got their Dirty Chili Dog last night... so good. Chorizo chili, chipotle aioli, bacon bits and cheese.

Sucks that we let a winnable one get away from us last night, but 3 out of 4 points on a back to back road trip is pretty darn good, especially when two of those points were a 4 point swing with another wildcard hopeful. That potential 8 point swing with CBJ next week is going to be huge.

Nah, you enjoy having conversations with yourself to prove whatever point you’re making, you two never disagree on anything unless it’s something stupid that no one else would call you out on

While you guys stick up for each other alot and have very similar views and ideas when it comes to hockey and hockey players, if you've read enough of each of your comemtns, you know that you're two different people. At least I know anyway.

Five out of six on this trip when you count Columbus. Road record is solid. Home record needs some work. We have a home heavy schedule the remainder of the year. It would great if they can start it off with a win versus Florida.

I like the idea of moving McCann up with Crosby and Geuntzel. Let's see what he can do. I think the reason Sid doesn't like Hornqvist is all the post whistle scraps he gets into and that leaves Sid open to some cheap shots.

I have no idea if the Sid-Hornqvist stuff is real or not, but if it is I’d assume it has everything to do with Hornqvist’s IQ. Crosby has always excelled with wingers who just know how to hunt out soft spots on the ice where Sid can hit them with tight passes for opportunities. Kunitz did that and never left Crosby’s wing years. Guentzel is a pro at it. Sheary and Simon are both good at that as well despite not being world class finishers, which is why they end up on Sid’s wing frequently despite not being first line talents. Hornqvist does not do that. Hornqvist flies around the offensive boards or goes straight to the net. It never even occurs to him to try to find a soft spot for an open look, because that’s not his game. It’s probably also frustrating that Hornqvist is terrible in transition and a terrible passer.
