Get Price the (frank) outa there!
Jake is officially a 30 goal scorer and 60 point dude. Pretty much all at even strength. Has a realistic shot at 40 goals and 30 even strength goals. Dude is a legitimate star player in his own right. His contract is gonna be great for us. |

I recall some people mocking that extension... 6 mil for a player who never had 50 points.
6 mil for a 30 goal scorer sounds like a (frank)ing bargin. |

Yup. He’s a great player. Sneaky how good he is really. Not flashy, he just has a gift for scoring |

I thought it was fair value but not really a value contract. I’m defenitely reevaluating that stance as G continues to put up monster numbers with no PP time. |

Odd... when we cut off the cross ice pass to push it out of the zone... that doesn't blow the play dead? |

48% out of 200 or so NHLers say Sidney Crosby is the best NHL player, Mcdavid next at 25%... and people thought still calling 87 the best, was out there! |

Just like last night. It’s up to the ref to judge control.
I’ve seen guys get called offside for a toe drag. Which is still on the stick.
Last night was a bad call. He essentially passed it to himself. Shoulda been offside. |

Been trying to focus in on him this period since I was too drunk last night to really make a good assessment on how he did.
He’s looked fine to me tonight so far. Only one shift stood out to me as particularly negative where he allowed two Habs to jump him and force a TO in open ice in our zone. Gotta make a decision quicker than that. Other than that he’s played a boring but sound game. Had a pretty good opportunity from the point to create some offense that I liked.
I will also say that Gudbranson doesn’t do the infuriating thing that Johnson does where he chaises guys behind the net. Seems to be able to play with the rest of the unit much better in his own zone than JJ, which is great. |
