I still think that holding on to their picks and prospects was the right choice, as much as making the playoffs would be fun and be a good experience to a lot of them. They're having a really good bounce back season, so people forget that this is a rebuild (reset...whatever).

Jack (frank)ing Johnson has the 3rd most time on ice... and among non injured players, he is #1 for ice time.

Also Murray was utter poop the first quarter of the year.

They aren't very good besides those players + kessel. Also, malkin and kessel have been liabilities at ES.
