Agreed . Add we haven't had an experienced coach in over 25 years.

I don’t like Scott Wilson in an NHL lineup

Olofsson-Eichel-Nyquist
Skinner-Mitts-Reinhart
Sheary-Nelson-Thompson
Tanev-Erod-Okposo

Brock Nelson plays PK and can hold himself defensively. Reinhart has good defensive metrics on the 2nd line. Tanev and erod play Pk and are defensive with scoring upside.

I like E Rod, but i don’t think putting him in heavy defensive minutes is a good idea

I do agree about Nelson, he’d be a nice fit
But Sheary & Thompson in heavy defensive minutes... no way
Mitts has been decent defensively for a rookie, but i still would rather his line be focused on offense- esp with Skinner

Tanev-Nelson-Reinhart could be a good defensive line
But if you’re using them like that heavily,
I’d expect Sam & Nelson’s stays to dip considerably

Can Jack & Mitts eventually take on some of these tough minutes?
Sure
But not right now
The reason Tavares & Point can is bc there lines can do it and score
AND
They get help from Lines 2&3 with secondary scoring
We’ve got none of that

Having a good defensive 4th line that doesn’t score that much isn’t killing us

Nope
Young kid handled wrong

He refused to sign a 2-way contract. Should have started in the A. He wasn't good. Never showed an offensive instinct, lost defensively.

Also, Antipin wasn't young, he was like 25
