Cheap Shot Tom Wilson just tried to take Vesey's knee out.
Wilson's gonna goon it up until he's stopped.

E Kane out tonight. I wonder if San Jose was worried that someone would take a run at him.

Take a run at Pevelski, E Kane is worthless.

A couple of good chances - only one great one, I think (Ovechkin's) no end-to-ends - too much draw-back into the neutral zone.

The defenses have figured out how to neutralize the 3x3 - the offenses have realized how important possession is and don't take chances.

Only run the Hawks are taking is that 11 am tee time the day after the season ends.

27G, 24A, 239 SOG, 149 PIM, 140 Hits.

Prototypical Top Line power forward has A LOT of worth IMO.

the only 2 ways to stop wilson is if someone ends his season for about 6 months or he gets a well earned lifetime ban

I don't know that Strome did anything all that wrong on that play -it happened pretty quickly, in that he had a very brief interval to locate that guy which he would have done within a fraction of a second (which was too late).

He was constantly moving, and had gotten back into position - but notice that both defensemen were behind the net.

I'm not sure what Chicago's defensive scheme -I probably have to focus more on that stuff from a couple of past games (maybe one where they were going well, and then the LA game). It looks like KK and Fors were the d pairing on that goal, and I suspect that they might both have been out of position.

Crawford, though... nothing personal, and I am not sure who's feel-good story this is supposed to be by playing him, but he doesn't look right. Actually he hasn't for awhile. I don't think I would be playing him as a safety issue. I don't think he will be effective, and it is injury or conditioning related (it may not even be ice hockey related. He looks a lot thinner than I remember.

I get that Raffi Torres vibe every time he takes a shift.

I assume that the Hawks medical team and Crow himself have a better handle on whether he's okay than we do.

True, but concussions are also a “scout’s honor” type of thing. I’m not saying this is the case with Crawford, but if the Doctor asks,”have you experienced headaches, dizziness or blurred vision?”, Crow(or any athlete) can lie bc they want to play.

This article is from 2012 and the NFL, but shows the difficulty in diagnosing concussions and recovery.

“NFL Concussion Poll: 56% of Players Would Hide Symptoms to Stay On Field”

http://www.sportingnews.c...rting-news-midseason-poll

I personally think Crawford’s poor play is due to age, and missing A LOT of time over the last 15 months.... not that he isn’t fully recovered from his concussion. But only Crow knows for sure is my point.

eklund has brought up the nhl point system again...

nhl will never go to a 3 pt system...it would skew the historical record going forward

i would like to see the loser pt eliminated..

OT/SO winner gets 2 pts and loser gets 0. Done. Maybe if games go to shoot out ya keep the loser pt.

- bogiedoc

I would like to see the 3-point system that awards 3 point to the team winning in regulation and then 2 points to the winner and 1 point to the loser in OT or shootout. It would eliminate the manufactured stacking of the standings and provide s real incentive for teams to play to win.

Or maybe islander fans thought their coach sucked, and apparently he did.

I think if Barry was coaching this team right now he'd be pulling his hair out😁

- BetweenTheDots

No, he’d probably have they playing so well that Restore would be paying him to put it back in.
