I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Brock Nelson tonight. Could be cheaper option and plays PK and PP. Could fit as the 3rd line C once Mitts figures it out.
- Pegullaville

He also could play the wing
He’s been a guy I’ve liked over the past few years
Trotz supposedly loves him though
Idk if he leaves NyI?

Interesting target idea though

Meh
He’s a good 3C
Some here wanted to trade a 1st for him
That would’ve been moroni
c

No reason we can’t get a another good 3C at a reasonable cost

- jdfitz77

Eh, but that first would have been Girgensons or Armia, so it would’ve been a win regardless, amirite?

I would also have never moved a first for him

Besides the first round pick, trading Risto is one of the few ways that I see to acquire that top 6 F/number 2 center we so desperately need, unless we overpay for someone in FA.
- Powerslave

Yes, I agree.

He has great value.

Risto seems like the kind of guy, your gonna wish you didnt trade. Especially in the playoffs

Maybe trade him out west

You’ve got some chip on your shoulder about Jack
We all know he’s a good player

Some want him to be better
It’s not that big of a deal

- jdfitz77

Pegulaville lives in leafs land

Its gotta be non stop Matthew's this , leads that.

Can you do me a huge favor and just not respond to my posts anymore big guy?

I’m trying out this whole positivity/optimism thing in my life and you are totally ruining my vibe lately.

Appreciate it

I live in Buffalo, where people love grinders and guys like Bogosia, but will point out every mistake Dahlin has made and criticize the teams best player in Eichel

It'll be interesting to see what Botts does.

If the analytics are so bad, he'd better trade him while the gettin's good.

Borgen seems like a guy that could eventually fill those shoes, physically. Obviously, not offensively, but that's probably why he got Montour.

Risto should be moved for a top 6 player.

It won’t be hard to replace a mediocre D man who makes 5.4 mil and who’s role will he reduced

You are so out there you can’t even take me complimenting Reinhart.

He’s making Casey better. Pominville cannot

Therefore Sam> Pommer

However, Pommer plays very well with Jack. He goes to the right spots

- sbroads24

How is pommer just as good as Reinhart a compliment?

Again your words

Of course Montour is gonna start on the 3rd pair
It would be dumb to put him in the top4 so quickly

Give him some time
He’ll move up the depth chart soon enough

- jdfitz77

We are not going anywhere
Play him with Dahlin

I'm OK w it. Risto has his moments, but I feel our pipeline, as it stands now, has some promise on the back end (Pilut, Borgen, Samuelsson, Laaksonen).

That's an oddity. It's a hockeybuzz thing.

Most of the eichel critics on here live out of state though.

Good luck with your positivity.

So then why are you starting sh!t?
Thought u were doing this while trying to be positive thing?

Also...
A late first is likely to be a 3rd line guy, but there is a chance he could be better
So If u wanna eliminate the risk & just trade it for a top6 guy,
that makes sense
Trading it for another 3rd liner is dumb

You know all this
So why not try being more positive instead of being a jerk for no reason

Even with Montour and Dahlin

We probably still need 2 top 4 d men
Even if we kept risto

I imagine the expansion draft may be a concern with:

Dahlin
Risto
Montour

Is thinking Matthews is better then eichel being critical of Jack?

I mean one is Marino and one is Kelly

Agreed, 100%. I just wonder if Risto is that guy. Everyone points to his terrible analytics (I don't look at the stuff much, admittedly). I'm sure the other GMs see and know this, but are willing to overlook it? Or is he getting a bad rap?

On the top line they have been equals in terms of goals in and goals let in.

Of course Sam is better.

But if the results are the same on line 1, while making line 2 that much better, it’s a no brainer

Pommer is an all timer
Former captain

Any comparison for a sorta young letter less guy should take it as a compliment.

No one is comparing him to sobatka

So many GM’s are “hockey guys” who probably talk about analytics like the anti-Christ
