we went from we are going to make the playoffs and maybe win a round to lets just tank in like 2 months. this is depressing

Not to toot my own horn once again but I predicted this meltdown coming for quite some time. Even during the winning streak we had the most luck in regards to puck bounces. Hutton was like 8-0 with a 950% Save percentage.

The players that matter showed progress though. Eichel, Dahlin, Skinner, Reinhart. I don’t know what to make of Risto but he is what he is and I’m pretty sure he is on pace for his best offensive statistical season in the league with downgraded PP minutes.

To me this failure is 70% on Housley and 30% on Botts for the crap supporting cast to those said core players. Housley should have been able to get more out of players that have had success in other places though. Scandella, Sobotka, Sheary are all having their worst years in quite some time.

I really don't think he resigns.. I hope that I am wrong, but the year he put up, some GM out there may pay him 10 large a year. I think he would be smart to test the FA market this summer.

I 100% agree. Was just trying to find the silver lining. Risto is a very polarizing player. Maybe someone overpays for his services in the offseason.
