I agree. But is there any accountability? I don't think so. You can play like poop all year and as long as you are a veteran in this league you still play.

If i am a young hungry player in this organization, I am very discouraged in the fact that there are bums ahead of me doing nothing to earn their spot but because they are a vet they get a shot over me. Not only do i not get a shot, but i am shown as long as i put my time in i can float around with no effort and still get playing time.

Hughes and Kaako are the consensus 1 and 2. I would include Podkolzin in that tier. In that next tier 4-9 there is Cozens, Boldy, Zegras, Dach, Krebs, Byram/Broberg and Turcotte in that group. At 10-15 there is a strong group- Newhook, Kaliyev, Suzuki and Soderstrom/York. If the Sabres are in that 10-15 for their own pick, they'll get a good young player.

Just a guess but if we are in the 8-10 pick, I would like Boldy or Broberg. If it's 10-15, Newhook or Kaliyev, maybe Suzuki.
