Still hoping for playoffs it still could be possible 😭 - gerbe75pts
Buddy I’m already slotting one Boldy/Krebs/Zegras into our lineup and mixing different line combos. Maybe Newhook or Kaliyev sneaks into that discussion. I’m hoping the Blues pick top 20 and we keep that pick. |

For the first time in a long time I am very excited over a player the Sabres acquired.
With Skinner, I was happy, but didn't expect this type of year from him. Also figured that a lot of his production was making up for Kane's departure, so just wasn't "excited".
Montour is the real deal. He's got some areas of weakness. Still isn't the best defensively and there are some consistency issues there.
Still, I see him as exactly what we need. Takes pressure off of Risto, which I think will help, AND it gives yet another solid partner for Dahlin. I could actually see the two of them working well together next year or the year after once Dahlin's D-game improves.
This is a great time to be a fan. We're actually coming out of it. We're out of the playoff picture, but made massive gains this year. Botts has shown himself to be NOT stay safe Darcy OR risky Murray. He's a blend of the two.
He traded our 3rd best 1st rounder and our 3rd or 4th best defensive prospect for a guy that most Ducks fans I talk to thought very highly of.
Great TDL. Watching fun hockey (even losing to the Leafs yesterday was fun to watch). We're on our way up ladies and gents. Enjoy the ride, the playoff drought will end next season and the SC drought shortly thereafter. Book it. |

If you find yourself in Austin on your way home, i have a number of great places to eat if you have time.
Also, Austin's airport has made a strong effort to make all the food in the airport come from local business. So even if youre stuck in the airport youll be able to pick up something special |

The Sabres traded a first round pick and prospect Brendan Guhle for the Ducks Brandon Montour. I am on board with the risk reward of this trade for the Sabres. Randy Carlyle is one of the worst coaching options in the NHL and everything he touches turns to rubbish. Montour has the ability to transition the puck which is something the Sabres sorely lack. This is one of those change of scenery trades that has a good chance of working because of how bad things were in Anaheim. Kind of like how Justin Schultz escaping Edmonton was a breath of fresh air for the player. This should give Jason Botterill some flexibility with Rasmus Ristolainen who he should be looking to trade this offseason. There will be at least one general manager who will overpay for Ristolainen due to his size, willingness to throw the body around, and the fact he puts up points on the power play. People like Dale Tallon come to mind. |
