Winning also turns professionals into jacka$$es. Tjhe 'canes need to turn down the post-game circusses. Keep that in the lockerroom
- powerenforcer

Yeah god forbid athletes have fun and celebrate winning while providing creative entertainment for fans. You and Don Cherry need to lighten up.

It's dumb. But how is it any dumber than throwing a goddamn octopus on the ice?
- BINGO!

Exactly.

The catfish on the other hand...now that’s really dumb.

Yeah. At least do something original. Don't just copy what another franchise has been doing for years.

I miss Florida's rats. That was weird.

I forget who it was, but saw a tweet pointing out how ironic it is that someone who’s know for his flamboyant suits would have a problem with someone else’s creative expression.

What a (frank)nut.

Not seeing it confirmed by any of the Beats on Twitter yet, but it looks like this may be tonight’s lineup...

I thought Sikura was demoted? Or did I imagine it?

Oh..nevermind, I see he was sent down and then brought back up again...

Back with Chicago
February 26, 2019
Sikura is back with the Blackhawks per the NHL's official media site.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old was sent down as a procedural move to preserve his eligibility for the Calder Cup playoffs, but will continue to suit up for Chicago. Sikura has been a decent fantasy option lately, as he has three points in his past six games.

Sikura's "demotion" was a paper transaction to get him on the Hogs playoff roster but he was expected to stay with the Hawks.

Hawks rumored to have been in on acquiring Staal during the TDL period. Staal ended up re-upping with the Wild at 2 years.

- BINGO!

I saw this on the Twitter this morning. I think it's great what they're doing to build excitement around their team. Don Cherry can suck it!

At least the octopus has a meaning behind it. The catfish is just plain stupid.
Also, having been at games where they throw out a catfish, it's staged by the team, not snuck in by a fan.

Agree here but, coulda woulda shoulda, perhaps having a Daley would have helped us win that close 7-game St. Louis series. Would have given us a solid top 4 given we lost Oduya in the off season. Same could be said for Keith missing game 1 too with the suspension.
- Popsghostly

Daley certainly would have been better than Rundblad. We lost Oduya because Stan franked up the summer with the Sharp mess and not buying out Bicks when he could have.

Bowman knew he was going to need a #4 going into the summer and his first move was resigning Runny. Then as he had done the previous summer with Leddy held his cards too long on Sharp and got stuck with players coming back from Dallas instead of clearing cap space.

The cherry on top was Stan handing over Philip Danault to the Habs at the TDL for hot garbage instead of the dman he so badly needed. A lot of folks hammered Stan for the Ladd deal - personally I still contend that was a great move. Ladd was solid and led the team in hits and was on a line with Hossa and Krugs.

Q should have done what he could to deal with Daley but it didn't happen.
and in game 7 Q ran Runny out there oh boy...

My thoughts exactly! The guy who dresses like a clown and/or Elton John has issues with post victory team celebrations? Give me a (frank)ing break!

Well, we now know why Elbows doesn't like him.

Big question is whether he's willing to do Arnold's powerlifting routine regularly.

So Q should have changed his system to fit Daley? A system that he won 3 Cups using?

Let's not forget that Daley is the one who went and asked for a trade. IF what was reported by a couple of sources is to be believed.

Dead lifts are a great exercise for any age, gender, or fitness level. Core, legs, upper body...love deadlifts. Tuevo is a good player, congratulations to Carolina capitalizing on Bickell’s terrible misfortune.

Can we discuss current Blackhawks ? Namely why Sikura is still in the NHL?

Cause he is better than Perlini. Sikura at least goes near the boards. Guy is in his first professional season. Last year at this time he was playing collegiate hockey.

I think a better question is who should play ahead of him? You hit the nail on the head...Perlini, Kunitz? He obviously isn't a finished product, but give him the last 20 games, and see if he can get an understanding of what he needs to work on in the off season. At this time next year, if he is still playing like this, see what you can get at the TDL.

Wow, the mental gymnastics people go thru to rationalize Dayley/Kempny decisions.

Absolute joke.

System changes and the like.

Q lost his room a few years ago because of these stubborn and stupid decisions.

Splitting hairs on passing etc....Dayley and Leddy are great passers.

Well that's probably why he's not coaching the Hawks anymore. Didn't he sit Kempny and Murphy quite a bit
