Yeah man I threw in the towel with fantasy hockey pretty early this year. It just wasn't fun anymore
- chilliard77

I had same season last year. But I'm definitely in for baseball. I think you should change your pic back to Neegan.

the exact response one would expect from that name

I literally thought what he said was funny.

I've been re-watching TWD from the start actually. It's a great show, I see why it used to be my fav. But the last few seasons will be rough.

I agree with your perspective, but eichel was a force.

Matthew's played good.

This game anyway.

- Boss34

Oh, he absolutely was, but there's no player that's a "force" every game. Matthews has taken over games in his career as well. He didn't take over this one because he didn't need to.

I don't think so...6k should be in Rochester next season fighting for the starting spot...I think he's that good
- Michael Pachla

I think that’s where I’d start him too

But will they go that young in Rochester with him & Johansson?

According to Homie...
they really like Johansson, so it seems he would be there
Idk that it would make sense to send Wedgewood to Cinci?

I’m not predicting it
Just saying i wouldn’t be surprised

Matthews is a bad man, slightly ahead of Eichel imo...jack's been struggling with a lot of crap in Buffalo since they drafted him...when it comes to those three young buck centers i'd go:

Matthews
Eichel

however, jack is really starting to come into his own

I know these 3 will always get compared
But i just don’t care really who is ahead of who
Idk why so many ppl focus on it either?

Eichel is our guy
And I’m happy about that

good point about the age thing...it will probably come down to training camp with 6k and jj...as for the other two older ones?...I could live with them or without them but I wouldn't make a decision about the future of the sabres based upon two ahl/possible borederline goalies

TB is up against the cap as it is. Why would they trade a dman on his entry level deal?
- Matthews_Auston

Rumored deal today was Sergachev, Cirelli, Callahan for Risto which I still think sounds great you only need to eat a year of Callahan
So yes Tampa probably can't afford it straight up

Your first instinct was right imo. Johansson is a fringe NHL prospect. 6K will get the opportunity. They still need a Wedgewood/Wilcox or someone they are comfortable with in the NHL in case of injury. There's no reason to think Johansson or 6K are ready for NHL action.

For sure
I doubt their thinking has anything to do with what’s best for Wedgewood
They might just wanna pair a Vet with Johansson- at least to start
It’s not like it’ll ruin 6K to start in Cinci

All bets could be off if 6K kills it in camp
I’d be shocked to see him start in Buffalo though

Botts believes in having a plethora of defencemen in the press box like Francona believes in having middle relievers in the bullpen.

I would’ve thought this as well,
but Homi has said that Botts & co really like Johansson “a lot”
And if he keeps playing this well in Rochester, idk how they send him down to Cinci?

This was his most noticeable game in the last 3 weeks and apart from a goal he scored when a puck went off a skate into his wheel house what did he do ? Eichel has a 5 point night if pominville and Dahlin bury their multiple chances they have.

The exact response the original statement deserved.

Eichel 23:22. 6:09 on the PP
Matthews 18:07, 1:01 on the pp

... the original statement from Pegulaville deserved nothing more than a laugh.

He played 5 games in Rochester and is out for the season. He's the depth guy.

True
Although idk that he can really develop anymore there
He’s already too good for the OHL

It does seem like he’s on track to be our goalie of the future
But i also doubt that Botts will rush the process
He talks about “developing guys the right way” constantly, and also how valuable he believes the AHL is for that

There’s a good chance he’ll start in Rochester
I just don’t think Cinci is out of the question
