There's always context that we are not privy to though, for example Benning saying Edler wouldn't waive could mean he offered Edler an option to be traded to Pittsburgh and he said no or it could mean Edler said no to any trade or every trade offered etc.
At the end of the day, GM's need to learn to not give out NTC's if they want the option of moving the player. - belcherbd
Thanks tips.
I think the thing we're missing here is that teams like Vancouver need to incentivise players to sign here.

Apparently multiple teams wanted him. It is fine he didn't want to waive just don't make the same mistake twice , no NTC .
Pettersen Horvat Boeser - "The Future" line
Pearson Spooner Motte - Scraps line
Leivo Gaud Roussel - Benning not an idiot line?
Schaller Beagle Granlund - nope, hes an idiot line

We're not LA, NY or TB. - dbot
This team has failed miserably at bring in FA talent that were incentivized, they would of been better off going after the secondary market for player who want to play.
FA will want to join when we are good again, till then don't morgage the future.

I would say that Petey and Boeser make Benning look just fine.

Did you listen to him today when he tried to explain why Dahlen wasn't a good fit for the style the organization wants to play? My God he just doesn't possess the ability to verbalize what's going on inside his head.
Stone apparently signs an eight year 9.5 million per year deal. I can stroke him off my list as a future Horvat winger - LeftCoaster
Every year fans get excited about the upcoming UFA class in the fall/winter and by the end of spring it looks like another shallow ufa class and then everyone says “but next year’s UFA’s look amazing!”

Nah, I haven't listened to him in years, he doesn't listen to me either though....

Rinse and repeat - Nucker101
Ya they rarely make it to market but a few squeak through.

no matter how he conveyed the message (valley girl, repeating words, same old go-to phrases), he isn't really wrong though. Cory H and Ben B had said that Dahlen had really struggled to find his game in the AHL. 8 even strength points in 50 AHL games. Injuries. Cull couldn't get him to work on his game away from the puck. We will always be under the impression that he was only dealt because he asked for a trade, but maybe he just sucks when he isn't playing with amazing players like Pettersson.
They beat a big/tough Jets team in the playoffs before, no? - Nucker101
You realize I said Burke made that comment, not me, right? To your question, yes they did but the Jets two years ago were in the infancy of their window. I don't think they'd beat them now.

Yes I agree, never said what he said was wrong, only that he's an embarrassment when he talks.
