You named 7 players that are already here, while Simmonds was here. How do you not see a fit? Adding Frost still leaves a roster spot open...but please continue to allow your Imagination run wild.

Well it could be Simmer, but not at at term that his agent was asking for.

I agree that Simmer is a top nine forward. I hate losing him for sure. He gives this team some needed grit. I think Fletcher is moving on and his planning on up grading the top nine this summer and doesn't see Simmer (with the contract he is wanting) as a fit.

I'm going to miss the heck out of him. I'll have to wait and see what works out this summer.

It's simple math, my friend. 2 of those guys are centers. We have seen how G wears down playing center. Coots playing " 2C" is now only 4 points back of G. G will be at wing at least next year for sure. Now comes the math part. That leaves 5 wingers on the list. Simmer is not bumping any so at best he is 3rd line. Figure Hartman on 3rd line. Now, if any of Farabee, Ratcliff, Frost, Allison etc make the team where do they play? Simmer is sliding down the depth chart. Don't want or need a 7 mil four line player.

I think the real key is that Fletcher is trying to add a big piece or two this summer. I think Simmer slots in above Hartman (but not by much) but I think Fletcher is looking in another direction. I would love to see Simmer back but not going to happen with the term someone out there is sure to give him.

Does everyone love Hartman yet? He sure knows how to win us over. What a hit!

Great tribute to Simmer, Bill. Thank you for that. He deserves it. Also congrats to the family for having quite the day!
