Benning would get lynched if he traded away assets or picks. - A_SteamingLombardi
To get a scoring winger or good young d-man i'd be okay with 2020 picks |

trading away our 2020 1st would be the perfect time for us to win the lottery. |

if we're looking at UFA's next year, how about Skinner and Myers.
Skinner-EP-Brock
Sven-Bo-Leivo
Rousell-Gaudette-JV
Eriksson-Beagle-Motte
Mackewen.
Spooner waived (again)
Granlund walks
Goldobin, Schaller moved
Sutter retired
Edler-Tanev
Stetcher-Myers
Hutton-Hughes
Guddy - dbot
I like Myers as a signing, for sure. Skinner and his concs... not sure if I’m onboard. Having a great year though

Tavares only elite UFA in recent memory.
Key word is RARE any test the UFA market. - Nighthawk
I bet one maybe even both of Stone and duchene resign. That extra year is good value when you’re late 20’s. |

NOT named TOR lol - Codes1087
The point is, not many Elite players make it to UFA. Period.
It's not like it's a Canadian market issue really. |

Speaking of Lucic...Eklund has mentioned Lucic to Mtl.
If they can ship him out of town, that'll be 2/2 on recent trades after Gagner.
Lucic and Puju for spare parts? - dbot

I guess it's why I question why people are penciling any of the 3 that are available into Canucks lines for next year |

Thx much Carol well done.
lol Spooner has played two games and the sky is falling.
But I do wish Gagner well and hope he succeeds in EDM...seems to be a comfort zone for him there.
Anyhow off to the races literally...Anyone have any horse racing tips for Santa Anita today??

Skinner with a renaisance year and a history of concussions, all while playing with Eichel... no thanks |

Ya it's one of those things where he looks great, but concussion history should scare people off of long deals. But as a UFA, someone will do it because he does have that very top-end scoring touch. I hope it isn't us, but at this point wouldn't be completely disappointed as he clearly can produce. I am just a little tired of these bandaid guys and would rather someone a bit more durable. Dzingel is kind of interesting depending on the price. |

Of course someone signs Skinner lol
As for bandaids is it not painfully obvious its for lack of NHLer depth & temporary? |

I was referring to injury prone guys that only play 50-60 games. Skinner has thta kind of track record. I know of course he signs, but I think someone will go for 7 years which I'm not confident about. |

Taxes in Canada suck, media sucks, and when was last time an elite free agent chose a Canadian market to get big money, that wasnt TOR, and was a losing team at that. Big dreams in here. - Codes1087
Lucic to Edmonton.... he was the elite free agent followed by Ericsson that year.
Also you can't say canadian market but not toronto or a losing team.
Comparing vancouver to Winnipeg or Edmonton is ignorant due to the city, not the team. |
