Per CBS sports

Montour traded to Buffalo in exchange for a 2019 first-round pick and defenseman Brendan Guhle.
The 24-year-old blueliner is not a rental as he is still under contract next season before reaching free agency. The pick going back to Anaheim is actually San Jose's first-round selection that was acquired by Buffalo as part of the Evander Kane deal. However, the condition on the pick is that the Ducks can instead take the Blues' pick that Buffalo also owns if it falls in the 20-31 range. Montour will likely slot into Buffalo's top-four and help the team compete for a playoff spot next season. He has five goals and 25 points in 62 games this season

Now Move Risto.

Didn't think Botts was going to do anything. Tomorrow might be fun.

I was actually thinking about this at dinner. Everything Dreger says is given to him because people want something put out there. I wonder if he was told that it wasn't true because they didn't want it out there yet.

Spicy ! Appreciate the info. Ship out the deadweight. Montour is 24 years old with one year left and RFA eligibility. Could be here for years to come. Young with term.

Thanks Homie. I would love it if Botts can unload Bogo to a team looking for toughness and depth heading into the playoffs. He needs to get Skinner signed and some some forward help.

Trading a 1st + Guhle for a Top 4 D seems like very good asset management by Botts. We still have two including our own.

say goodbye to risto or bogo

Was thinking Bogo could be inserted in trade to the Bolts, and reduce the value coming back.
Even though Risto's Advanced Sfzts suck, and he makes boneheaded plays, I do like his physicality and would l9ve to see him in playoff games to determine his final value to the team.
If he can get on the nerves of the best 0layers in acsingle game, imagine a 7 games series...would be nuts!

Wilcox was waived by Roch so the Sabres could sign him to an NHL deal. That does not feel coincidental.

Botts said he would make a trade if it helped in the future. Montour does that. Not a rental, under 25 years of age.
